Great to see that at least one individual has loads of fun here. This really speaks of character.

Seriously don't sweat it, if you don't get the pip-boy from GAME UK I guarantee if you keep your eyes on Ebay etc you will get one. Sadly it might be in the future after the game release that you find one and you most likely will have to get it secondhand, but at least you will get it. You also will probably have to pay a little more depending but you still have a chance of at lease getting one eventually. Hell, Grand Theft Auto V still has collectors editions to buy on Amazon so I'm almost sure Fallout 4 will have more in the future to buy too. Bethesda say stocks are limited, but they say a lot of things that either turn out to be false later down the line or true but only to some extent, I guarantee they will release more in the future. Just keep your hopes up man.

Agreed. Eventually someone's gonna get sick of it and sell it on either eBay or Amazon. It'll turn up, don't worry. :)

Game.UK are a vendor for UK citizens only, hence why internationals have had their pre-orders cancelled, they most likely see these pre-orders being taken from the UK folks who would most certainly like to purchase this product and think it isn't fair on the UK playerbase, hence the cancellations... You do realize that Amazon.com sell the Pipboy edition too yes? You should have hit them up rather than Game.UK since they aren't selling exclusively to the UK, I myself am a UK citizen and I couldn't really care less about the pipboy edition, I honestly think it's a waste of money, I'll be getting the standard edition for half the price, yes I won't have the Pipboy mobile phone holding gimmick, I like the look of it don't get me wrong it's cool, but I think it is totally overpriced for what it actually is.

That is the other thing too. It's your money, you can buy what you want I'm not trying to tell you what to buy, but do you *really* need the Pip-boy edition? Will you really be missing out if you don't get it? Sure it's nice to say you have it but really think about it for a minute. You could save a lot of money just buying the normal edition that could be saved and spent later down the line on almost certain to be released DLC for the game or anything else. Having an actual Pip-boy is a novelt but you and me both know after a month the novelty is going to wear thin and it is going to be put on your dusty game shelf, most likely never touched again and left there as an ornament.

Indeed good sir, I intend on getting the standard edition, its half the price without the junk, I'd rather invest my other £50 into future DLC for the game, why people are so hyped up over the novelty smartphone holder is beyond me, its just a hunk of plastic that will look down right ridiculous perched on your forearm.

Exactly. A ridiculous amount of money for an eyesore of a novelty that will suddenly leave you feeling very sick to your stomach when you actually realize just how much hard earned money you really spent on it.

Guy: It's my Pip-boy :D

Girl: A what?

Guy: It basically holds my phone while looking like a heap of [censored] on my arm. It's from the game Fallout.

Girl: *leaves*

If I really wanted to have a pip-boy, I'd just strap my phone onto my arm and call it a day. :D No need to waste money on a cheap piece of plastic. :D

But to be fair to the OP, having it as an ornament in his/her room can be very cool, and he/she is in the right to be upset, at the very least, that he/she is unable to have it.

They do indeed have a right to be upset about the cancellation of their pipboy edition, but it was to be expected really, Game.UK is for the UK only so someone from any European country, be that Italy, Germany, France, Spain, they were bound to be cancelled even if they were shipped to the UK, Game will know they aren't UK citizens simply by their debit transaction when it comes up with a bank from said European countries, also if they pre-order a second time they are most likely going to be left with another sour taste in their mouths when they get cancelled again, Amazon.com have had the pipboy edition on their site as long as game have, they are a multinational merchant so that would have been the logical choice in all honesty.

Why didn't OP use Amazon in the first place?

No idea mate, if I were in his shoes and wants the Pipboy Edition I wouldn't have gambled with a UK exclusive merchant.

I would have gone with Amazon since they are multinational, I know it's a bummer these good folk have had their orders cancelled but its their own fault in the long run.
I can't post links here but if you Google "Amazon.com fallout 4 pipboy edition" the site will pop up right at the top of the search results, now around the time OP and his fellow Europeans pre-ordered with Game, Amazon most likely had quite a few copies in stock still, the reason I say look it up if you want is if someone turns around and says that Amazon don't sell FO4 Pipboy Edition, saves them from making themselves look a bit silly. :)

Also Keep in mind for those EU people talking about the UK and their shipping/business practices. Whilst the UK IS part of the EU, they arnt 'fully' part of it. A lot of their trading laws are still their own (and obviously their currency isnt the Euro). Its entirely possible in a year or so (after the ruling party has their referendum) they will not even be in the EU anymore (as there is no fervent pro EU sentiment prevalent in the UK unlike many of the more continental countries)

You're probably right. Thanks for the nice words!

You know... I absolutely love those collector's editions, that's the thing. My girlfriend and I bought the Bioshock Infinite Songbird Edition together and be both still love it and are really proud to have it in our livingroom.

Then again, thinking about how that Pip-Boy thing's really just a smartphone holder... I mean... it DOES look awesome with the stand and the big carrying case and everything... I'm a bit torn, to be honest.

Easy to answer! The announcement that the Pip-Boy Edition is available for pre-order was out for exactly SIX MINUTES when all were completely sold out on Amazon.de. Looking on Amazon.com and Amazon.fr turned out to be unsuccessful, too. The ONLY place that still had some available to order was GAME UK.

I'm sorry to hear that buddy, its a shame other retailers or online based merchants didn't get some copies to sell, if you can't get your pipboy edition, I hope you can at least get the pipboy from the collectors edition from EBay or someplace, no doubt they will pop up later in the day on release.

Yeah, I already asked around in many local game stores, but to no success. Maybe I'll be lucky if I show up really early at those stores on release day.

The real shame is that Amazon didn't even limit the edition to "one per customer", so that MANY people bought a whole bunch and now they're selling them on eBay for 250-300 Euros...

Until it is released believe me you will play the game anyhow:D

And if you want it so badly, I'm certain there is a way to get it if your so eager for it. but you must be able to invest more to get ''more'' problem is people take an advantage of this and order to sell it again. (take your chances if you want it so badly)

I just looked at Game.UK's website and there's nothing stating they're a UK citizens only vendor. Their shipping range is global with the expected price variance as to where. Closest I could see on the sale page for Fallout 4 is mentioning one joining this Fallout club can talk with other Fallout fans in the UK.

If they decided on this particular game edition to only offer it to UK citizens only, there should be some sort of notice posted so anyone outside the UK knows to not even bother.

^This! And its exactly what is happening and baffles me that Bethesda is doing nothing to protect its customers from discrimination. But i must admit its hilarious to see British at each others throats like a pack of hienas scrambling for a Pipboy edition when i would bet 80% never heard of Fallout before.

So, it's discrimination for a UK based store to ensure that it's -currently- limited supply goes to UK customers first?. Seriously, until you can show actual discrimination has taken place, then stop using that word.

I'm sure Game's employees were looking at everyone's orders and going 'Oooh, dirty foreigners won't be getting anything off us Huh huh' But they've obviously reserved what copies they do have for the UK customers who've also pre-ordered.

If you think you've been discriminated against, make an official complaint rather than bleating on a forum and slinging around the Discrimination claim.

edit: Apologies if I sound harsh, but as a victim of actual discrimination (I'm TS), I'm a little sensitive over the word being thrown around willy nilly.

Because it's not Bethesda's job to make sure various companies around the world do their job. Their job is to make the game, package it, and ship it.

As said before, sooner or later someone's gonna get tired of their edition and put it up on eBay. Just be patient. Remember, it's the actual game that matters, not some glorified plastic wristband that barely functions.

Sometimes we just have to accept that life isn't fair. We can't always get what we want, it doesn't mean discrimination. Sure it's bad business practice to not give advance warnings to all non-UK buyers, but it's not like they were doing it because they thought you were some 'damned, dirty foreigner'.

Just managed to secure a Pip-Boy edition after a two-and-a-half hour battle with Game's UK website! It looks like they still have a few left and the website is actually a lot more stable now. (PC edition not working properly, PS4 and XBOX One seem to be okay)

Hurry while stocks last etc :bonk:

EDIT 1: I ended up buying the XBOX One version, but was still worth it!

EDIT 2: obviously this is strictly for UK customers only, and they're only allowing one unit per customer.

I can't believe this is still being discussed. You can't have UK stock. Pretty much end of it, too bad, move on and all that.

It's time to put this effort into something else fella. And if you're that desperate for it, maybe your own country will get more copies, or pick it up after release from eBay or something. Play it by ear.

Bethesda don't care because that stock is for UK customers. Game won't care for the same reason.

Each territory is being allocated a set number. That's just the way it is...

I wonder why Bethesda doesn't just sell the pipboy in their store if the demand is so great, personally i've no interest in paying that much for a molded plastic phone holder, but others obviously are......it seems like a relatively cheap product to produce for a considerable mark up in price.

Well given Game's history I'm not surprised their website isn't clear, but its been made pretty clear that the UK pipboy edition is exclusive to Game and limited in number, it seems unfair to further limit that availabilty to UK gamers by allowing non-UK gamers to also dip into that already limited supply.

Its now marked as not available to International customers (and out of stock again) so I would guess that there was never any plan to sell them outside of the UK.......are Game even allowed to sell a UK exclusive product outside of the UK.
