GAME.UK unilateraly decides to cancel all pipboy editions.

Post » Sat Nov 28, 2015 3:19 am

GStaff this is unethical, today i was informed that GAME.UK without any consent from myself, decided to cancel my pre-order of the pipboy edition even when my delivery address was on UK soil to a friends house. If these are the ones that you're in business with i sincerely fear for your business ethics and your soul as humans. To add insult to injury they then proceeded to expel all Europeans from the Fallout 4 Club on Facebook so that we wouldn't "raise waves" a English friend of mine still in told me.

GStaff, please, do something about this, i don't want a new pipboy edition i'm not a self entitled little brat, i right now couldn't care less about it, its the principle of human respect and behavior not to mention business ethics. I will send an email and blog this to kingdom come so that AT LEAST Bethesda/Zenimax understands that business partners like are unwelcomed and does something in the future about it. We are not trash, we are fans, we are human beings.

GAME UK by doing this is practically saying that if you're an European you're not worthy to buy this, this is discrimination pure and simple. This is VERY serious, gentlemen.

My apologies if there is any English errors but i'm not a English born individual and right now i'm pretty sickened as a human being.

I don't know the informtion so I can't truly judge this. There must be another Side to this story. That being said this sounds very messed up and it's not being spoiled to expect what you pay for

Wow, this svcks. :x That is not a smart move, business-wise. They shouldn't have done this.

Though are you should it's all Bethesda/Zenimax? It could be all the fault of Game.UK.

I'm pretty sure its all GAME.UK shady business practices, i was told by another friend minutes ago that they did this to her when she bought the ME3 CE. I assume (and hope) that Bethesda and Zenimax weren't aware of this, and I've since PM'ed Gstaff about this and they have replied promptly. Now i know that in GAME.UK they will lie their asses off but i have photographic proof and at of this moment 12 other clients in the same boat. To add insult to injury we were blocked from the Fallout 4 Vault Club (which is controlled by Game.UK), so the shady business practices continue.

I hope Beth/Zenimax will take appropriate measures to distance themselves from unethical and immoral business partner's in the future. I also will contact the EU business practices bureau, this is against the free trade agreements in the EU.

I've heard of quite a few things game.uk has done that cross the sketchy line

they seem like shatwarts

make sure to get screen caps of all the stuff, like messages to/from them, you manage to get

i doubt any game developer wants their games subjected to such controversy all because some host seller rips off their customers

I don't believe this is a matter GStaff is in charge of.

I hope they aren't involved in any way and the tone of Gstaff is honest and at least professional, he will pass it on to the team and they will inquire. Now GAME.UK itself found in me an bulldog of an enemy, I've contacted kotaku and Destructoid and i'm currently writing an expose in reddit about this. They will not be laughing this one off.

This is beyond the pipboy edition now to me is about respect and morals. We are not second rate citizens.

pretty clear it isn't bethesda

they get absolutely nothing out of that particular action besides angry fans

there'd be no reason for them to be in league with that plan

seems like it's all on game.uk for being dikcs with their middleman-power

If its indeed GAME.UK, then bethesda should have a heyday in court with that. As for the people across the pond that got shorted......best wishes in getting the matter resolved. But is truly sounds like Bethesda has nothing to do with that.

I just want some justice out of this, its not even for the item anymore, the fan little boy in me died of sadness and just wants to curl in a ball because he wont be able to collect this item as he did before, fortunatly the soldier in me wants a fight god bless him.

Now to contact Jim Sterling...

Doubt they'll go to court over it. GAME's decision doesn't really cost them anything. The units they'd move through that store will probably just be moved through another.

Yeah those are OURS (Europeans) pipboy editions being sold to British only. That is the point of me going full blown media on this, it is pure discrimination. My order was being sent do a friend in Leeds, they have ZERO reasons to cancel my order without my consent.

I suspect the cancelled international orders due to the CE weighing more than 1 kg or at least their excuse for cancelling it.

They tried that friend, but we all had friends in the UK so we asked them to receive the packages, i myself had a friend in Leeds receiving mine and then sending it to me by DHL. Of course this was done in plain sight of Fallout Vault group (which is controlled by GAME.UK) and they deleted those conversations, but we already had it arranged, i myself asked GAME.support just yesterday if i changed my delivery address to the UK if the order would go through and she said yes! Two day's later my order was spontaneously canceled with no warning.

This is shady, very shady. I truly hope Bethesda can get to the bottom of this, as i said to GStaff in a PM, myself and all the other clients are available to discuss what happened as witnesses.

We have nothing to hide and i myself took screenshots of everything i could.

I am one of the (German) people who got their order cancelled and kicked out of the Fallout Vault group, too.

I hadn't even received an email about ANYTHING. I just happened to check my account on their site and saw a big "cancelled" status next to my order.

A German friend of mine, who experienced the same, contacted GameUK via phone. We had the plan to make them change our shipping addresses to that of a friend in the UK. The time he got through to customer service, the woman said that it would be fine, she only needed the UK address. While we were receiving the address from the friend (via Facebook messenger), the lady of the GameUK customer service said that she couldn't understand him and HUNG UP!!

So, my friend tried again. That next time, the guy at the customer service said that changing the shipping address does NOT work because our orders are already cancelled and thus not in their system anymore. We should try to get one of the next batch on Friday.

You know what? EVERY serious vendor would have reactivated our preorder or made a new preorder FOR us!! But not GameUK, no! They are just like "tough luck! We give your preorders to some UK folks instead, have a nice life"!

From their site:

"All orders placed by you are subject to acceptance by us. We may choose not to accept your order for any reason and will not be liable to you or to anyone else in those circumstances. On any such occasion We will email you to make you aware as soon as it is possible to do so.

You will receive an email, once your order is in process detailing your order reference and details of the product(s) you have ordered. Please note that this email is an acknowledgement only and is not an acceptance of your order.

Acceptance of your order and the formation of a contract between you and Us will take place when We send you an email confirming that the products you have ordered are being dispatched to you, unless We have notified you that We do not accept your order or you have already cancelled it in accordance with the provisions below (see http://www.game.co.uk/en/info/Ordering-Payment?storeId=10151&identifier=Ordering-Payment&brdcrmb_trail=Help%7CProducts%20and%20Services&langId=44&catalogId=10201#change).

Although We endeavour to give accurate stock availability information on the Site occasionally products you order may not be available. If this happens We will cancel your order, send you an email to confirm the cancellation and any sum debited by Us from your debit/credit card will be refunded in full to the same card."

I NEVER DID get such an email!! They just cancelled it without telling anyone!

Again, this is just a minor detail though!! The most important thing is that they cancelled all non-UK preorders, even those who had a UK shipping address!!!

This is pure discrimination, nothing else! Instead, they are telling the UK folks "hey, some more Pip-Boy Editions could be acquired! Get them on Friday!" — YEAH, OUR Pip-Boy Editions!!!

AND some of us already paid for it (partially) with real money! Ain't that called "conduct implying an intent" and thus a closed sales agreement?

Clearly GAME UK only accepts payment in the form of fan tears.
