Game way too short...

The full potential is in my style of play. It's not what you have it's what you can do with what you have.

Um, OK. But if you don't have the best abilities, you are not doing as much as possible to help your team. Sorry, but you aren't, no matter how good you think you are. Why don't you share your amazing build?

I've never heard of anything like that, what company does that?

BFBC2 was like that. That practice is wrong on so many levels. If you brought the limited edition you were granted VIP status. This allow you to access exclusive maps thru their store. The maps were release as DLC in the following months. If you brought a used copy you would have to purchase a new key from the store to unlock these maps (paying more money). There was an co-op campaign you had to pay for but when you downloaded it the whole process took about 15 seconds. This leads me to think was only a code key to unlock that specific content. That extra feature was a big addition to the game and should have taken way longer to install. There also was unique gear for classes you had to pay for too. There was a big fuss in the community over this a few months back. It's a clever way to keep your game alive but I just think it's sneaky and unfortunate, especially for gamers that play offline.

Pardon for the delay, the forum isn't allowing me to post on time, It keeps telling me to wait about a min before the next post.

Anyway, the best ability is in the statergy...as I mentioned before. I've played with and against people who really didn't know how to use their classes. You have to adapt depending on how the game is flowing. There's always a way if there is a will. I never had a problem completing objectives or assiting others. If you have a good team and communicate effectivily, there really shouldn't be a problem.

Maybe you're get to see my specs when the Stats finally come on line.

You CAN'T do EVERY class their best justice with only 20 levels.

Either you're SEVERELY missing the point, willfully ignorant, or hacking to get more than 20 abilities. I'm not meaning to level accusations of ignorance or hacking, just that those three are the only possibilities that make sense in context of your replies in this thread. i'll be working on the assumption that you simply managed to misunderstand what we're all saying.

Unless you're able to get more than the allotted maximum of 20 abilities, you CAN'T cover EVERY class as well as a single-spec character will cover ONE class. Your Operative/Medic/Engineer/Soldier in your hands might be great, but an equally-skilled player with a pure Soldier will be better as a Soldier than you, because he has more points invested into it, and more of a focus on that aspect of play. And a pure Medic will be able to do more healing, or give more powerful buffs, or give a greater variety of buffs, any of which can be an advantage. And a pure Operative will have more options available for causing havoc. And a pure Engineer will have a more powerful Turret than yours, or more Mines, or both, and be able to disarm explosives faster... See the pattern yet? The more abilities you have IN A SPECIFIC CLASS, the better you can be WHILE PLAYING THAT CLASS. Your character might be brilliant for how you play, but try a different playstyle, and I guarantee you'll find more depth to the game.

I have my ability points scattered across 3 classes on my current character. Is he the "best" character? No - because there ISN'T a "best" character. Is he the best character for me? I believe so, yes. Doesn't mean I'm going to stop in my plans to build more characters to experiment with.

I'd vote "DLC is nice, but no rush" if it was an option.

this should of been an option

This. So I have 8 different characters planned, some "pure" and some with various "blends". If this doesn't appeal to you, then I can see why you might already be bored. But if you are willing to explore other classes and playstyles to their fullest, there is lots more to be played and learned.

This is your opinion, sadly it can’t be passed off as law. I’ll repeat…I don’t want or need to master every class, clearly you’re missing my point, it's ok thou. But, are you assuming that a specific maxed class is better than a unmaxed class? This may seem true on paper but its never actually the case during the gameplay…now is it? That has been proving false many times, in many games. You can have all the perps in the world and still get your [censored] handed to you by a newb, who just knows what to do better than you do…at the right times. This is why I prefer a bit of balance so I can adjust to the various styles of play during the match, as you already know…every gamer is not the same. Your claim might be more appealing if they allowed you to change men during the match, but I doubt that’s possible.

One run thru, with one dude, with every class taylored to my liking is good enough for me. I shouldn’t have to be forced to make other men just to make the game challenging and refreshing. That’s a con if you ask me. At least they could do some things to motivate gamers such as myself. Maybe by offering some hidden gear or something after making a certain amount of characters would be a start. It’s cool to have other characters as an option but it’s definitely not needed.
