I'm having the same exact problem. I have about 160 hours logged in and now it gets to the loading screen then crashes. Worked just fine last night.

I'm having this issue as well. It played just fine earlier today and then when I closed out for about an hour for a break and went to play again the game refused to start. I've also updated all my drivers and my specs seem to all be just fine. Anyone have an answer for this?

Full dxdiag report will help us. 6gb ram u r running below minimum requirement. You can increase virtual memory. Inspiron 5558, using 920m? Make sure the game is run using this graphic chip. Also verify ur game cache.

This is me from the next day. I started up the game and it worked? I didn't actually do anything so yeah.

You can't blame our systems because nothing changed from the day before when it was working perfect.

Did a DxDiag.

By that logic you can't blame the game because that never changed either. No recent patch.

Something in you system is now different from before. Not saying you added new RAM, but clearly something changed or is running/not running in the background that was/wasn't.

If is was just one or two people then that is one thing. But there are reports across the board on different systems. different drivers. etc. Only thing I did was save. turn off computer turn back on next day and game crashes. If someone can tell me a fix I'm willing to try. I'm also on Steam and there are a number of reports there too.

Not really the same thing. Loading screen meaning when you select a save or click continue?

Have you tried a previous saves? New game?

This same thing just started happening to me last night. Tried starting it and it just keeps reloading the launcher. I have been playing the game previously for a week with absolutely no issues whatsoever. there is a thread started by another person on steam about this happening to him also today.

A bunch of people started having this issue at the same time. validating files and reinstalling doesnt fix it

You PC is a multipurpose machine. You used it for other things other than games. Alot of things could have happen between your last played.

I last played it a few seconds before trying to restart it. I quit and relaunched to get rid of some of the odd texture errors that occur now and then

Sorry but your logic is flawed. "My game runs fine so everyone else is wrong".

It's obvious for anyone with eyes to see that there's a chronic problem that only shows itself after not insignificant play time.

Update: Went back 20 levels and game loads. Went back 10 levels game loads. Went back 5 levels and game doesn't load. Lost 10 levels and I have to find that Legendary Deathclaw again!

Precisely why it is important to make new manual saves. Alot of people lose much game progress by overwriting the same save again and again. It just isnt good practice.

I wouldn't say that's accurate, as:

I haven't played Fallout 4 for 15 days now.

However, everyday i start Fallout 4, load my save, and then quit.

I do that for the last 15 days, and the gane starts brilliantly.

So, that's not an excuse...really.

I appreciate you're frustrated but work on finding a solution instead of playing the blame game.

My post was to mirror your absoultion that the game is broken. Clearly it's not. Your game is broken. So figure it out, something is amiss if it worked before.

I'm not frustrated, but the game was running fine as of the 20th of December, ish. Now (2nd of January) I've just discovered that I now have this issue.

So I've gone from my game running fine to not running at all with nothing in between. I literally changed nothing with my game or my PC to cause this. i can't even blame it on a corrupted save because nothing has even gone near the saves.

Are you positive nothing changed on your PC? That is impossible. Windows possibly did an update. AV definitely updated. Third party application could have changed plenty.

Most people do not adequately maintain their systems.
