Gamebandits.com Confirms Skyrim Romances

Post » Sun Jun 19, 2011 6:32 pm

I wouldn't mind some flirtatious dialogue at all but I don't like cutscenes. It's a game I play, not watch. If TES ventures into this area, I'd be fine with it if it's not overdone and it leaves a lot to the imagination.

:tes:

I agree, I don't need first person porm lol. But like you said, dialogue can set the mood, and let you know what you didn't see (not in detail haha, but just so you know what happened).

I'm just waiting for a dev to come here and say something like "What [censored] said this? Romance is NOT in."

Lol its so fake. Look on the side bar at the games and see the consoles they are for.
It says Dirt 3 is also for the PSP Wii and DS, The witcher 2 is for all three gaming platforms(its PC exclusive), I think they just like to make stuff up.

If I had a twitter account, I'd ask him for sure.
I think it would be a great idea as long as it's not like Fable or (here's a few gifts, let's bang).

There are not going to be romances in Skyrim. That site is not a credible source at all.

For some odd reason it seems a lot of people want there to be romances in Skyrim, get a grip there most likely not going to be included, Morrowind and Oblivion did not have them, why introduce them in Skyrim? Leave romances for other series of games, like Mass Effect, a great series in my opinion that handles romances very well.

I'm doubtful. However, even if romances are in I probably wouldn't get involved. I'm a huge fan of Bioware games, and even then I never really went into romances. It's just... well, boring for me. I would rather kill things and save the day, or not save the day. Either way, I'm killing things... which, to me, is a lot more fun than "romancing" a character that probably doesn't have that much depth to them anyway. I will buy Skyrim to slay dragons, as I can't do that in real life, not to kiss pixels... XO

Fortunately, everyone has different tastes in video games then. I'm also one who is not big on romances in video games, but I also like having them available just for sake of more options for immersion. Usually, I just watch my room mate play the romance parts because she tends to be more interested in them than me. As for the OP, any information that lacks sources leaves room for my skeptical side grow. Reiterating what some of the members mentioned, some articles could be based off of forum threads with no real evidence on claims.

Yes, it would have to have *all* romance and flirting opportunities. It's suggested that the article may be fake though...at least we got our opinions out there.

I believe a moderator should step in and lock this topic, the source is clearly wrong and people are getting the wrong idea.

Why the hell should they lock? What infraction of the forum rules did I make in creating this thread?

That is a draconian suggestion.

I clearly state all the concerns I personally have in the OP, and ask for help to confirm whether this article is accurate or not.

If the article were locked and no one could communicate about things like this, then how would we ever find out if they were accurate or journalistic errors?

Communication is a good thing, and if it turns out to be inaccurate, but the thread was locked, then it's likely someone else will see the same article and make a new thread about it tomorrow. Much better to keep this one open.

The story is fake, there doesn't need to be a thread about a fake news story.

Yes, there certainly does, to warn people that it is fake so that we don't get another thread about this tomorrow.

And the fact that there is a video on the same site about a super mario spoof game doesn't confirm the accuracy of this 100% one way or the other, although it does cast quite a lot of aspersions on the website's integrity.

I'm really hoping Nick, Matt or Pete will weigh in on this to confirm.

I don't know, maybe because the formula is getting stale? Aside from "because it works", why would you want to tread over the same ground of Morrowind and Oblivion? The Elder Scrolls needs more depth. Naive attitudes like yours is the reason some games never reach their full potential.

Using that logic, there should be many threads warning people about fake information. Not to mention that there have been previous threads with fake information that weren't duplicated, because the first one was locked.
