So just a few hours ago I went to my local Gamestop to buy a Gameboy Advance SP (the small one with the folding screen) and a flier I saw when I walked in said that as of April 3rd Gamestop (at least in the U.S.) will stop selling or buying Gameboy Advances and Gameboy advance games on account of the fact that they are becoming a collectors item. My question is why do they stop selling or buying them if they claim they are becoming collectors items? Isnt that more reason to have them?
Oh, and in case you're wondering I got the last SP at the Gamestop for $25 pretty good shape, now to dig out my bag of games.
Our gamestops here do not sell them anymore, either. My kids are always on the lookout for classic gameboy games, as well as N64.
We find them at flea markets, thrift stores, and garage sales. Honestly, my smartphone screen is bigger than the damn gameboy screen.
Good thing they both have great vision, I can't see the damn gameboy screen well enough to play, even with bifocals on.
