This morning while playing Skyrim Special Edition on Xbox One, I encountered a gamebreaking glitch while in Whiterun. I was challenged to a magic duel by "the challenger" and every time he dies, the game crashes. I have defeated him a number of different ways, ran away from the fight and even started the engagement without dialogue with the same result.

Does anyone have any suggestions for how to deal with this glitch? I feel as if the game is unplayable at this point for me... I have made several searches for solutions on the internet but have not found anything relevant to my issue.

Appreciate any insight and/or assistance.

Could not find a way around it but had an old save from a good ways before. Was able to start there and fight the challenger in another city without glitch. For some reason my game just hates Whiterun... Thanks anyways but I think I've found a way around it.
