Personally I don't care much about what they do or do not release at E3. Mostly what's going to happen there is journos will show up for their appointments so they can ask if the game has dragons, can the hero ride dragons, can the hero become a dragon, and other such inconsequential BS.
What I expect is that they probably know E3 will be useless due to the journo's focus on the mainstream, non-TES fan, so they plan to release their own new stuff directly on their website. I'm hoping to see a video (possibly 20 mins) showing gameplay with minimal comment, hopefully including the following elements:
1) Getting the quest in town/interacting with NPCs
2) Purchasing a weapon or piece of armor and equipping it
3) Travelling through a bit of wilderness to a short cave/dungeon/tomb
4) Entering and kicking some [censored], and finding some treasure
5) Leaving the cave and getting attacked by the dragon who's been waiting for you since he saw you go in
6) Levelling up and looking at their attributes and skills
If they even manage 1-4 that would answer 90% of my basic questions about the game.
5 is so they can throw a bone to all the dragon-obsessed journos who couldn't come to E3.
