Yeah, people need to realize that this game does look good and must be amazing because PC gamer usually is pessimistic with their articles towards games.

Or we could judge for ourselves and not let PC Gamer tell us what to believe.

I didn't realize that one shot was inside a Dwemer ruin. This just keeps getting better.

But they actually reference Morrowind! Your generic mainstream press never does that! That's why I love these guys. :P

No they are not; just look at there look at bulletstorm they make the game out like it's good on the pc when it's really a sloppy mess. Rockpapershotgun is a bit more pessimistic. Also this isn't a technical breakdown, wait for arstechnica for that.

Bad PCGamer, that waterfall does not look good. :slap:

Decent article otherwise.

I think they were a bit too optimistic about some things - e.g. the fact that the existence of horses is 'pretty much proof' of horseriding - but generally it was well balanced with a good focus. Loved how they picked up on that small harbour under the natural formation; I'd missed out on that and it looks like an amazing coastal city (Solitude perhaps?).

Also that dungeon screen doesn't merely 'suggest' but practically confirms the return of Dwemer ruins :celebration: That iconic steambased/mechanic kind of setting can only be Dwemer in Tamriel :P

I always like PC Gamer articles.

They have a knack for pointing out little details I might've missed.

My my... yes, that last shot does show a mountain, far away and you still can't see the summit of it.

it seems that High Hrothgar will be... very high. this bodes well!

Edit: it bodes well, the next fargoth/Adoring fan will have something to be kicked off that is more epic that Dive Rock.

I disagreed with the waterfall. It could use some more work.

Honestly including horses but not letting you ride them would be to add spears but only let troll use them. Yes it's possible and simpler than doing it all the way, but it would not be popular.
Personally I don't get this, if you have horses you need to animate them, not so different to animate with a rider?

Think it look more like a tobacco plant in Oblivion. Nimroot are higher and straighter.

When they said Skyrim was mountainous, I thought “Pft. Oblivion had mountains.” Apparently it didn’t.

I think it looks great, the water was my fav part of the trailer, and the raging rapids were awesome. Finally we get real water physics instead of the very limited canned animations of past games.

Yes it's nice to see others loved the water as well. I think it looks great.

To the detractors of the water: I didn't like it much myself until I watched that particular clip several times. It's NOT just a canned animation. Look at where it hits certain small rocks and froths up and flows around them.
