Are you guys kidding? These are great! Sure, they aren't shiny or flashy, but they're certainly unique and they have a lot of substance to them. From an artists point of view, they show a clear devotion to emotion and detail. The characters faces are not only "realistic", but they really provide some life to RPG characters that I've never really seen before (which the exception of Mass Effect). The only thing that I don't like about them is the usual picky details: the waterfalls are a bit too organic, I'm noticing some clipping, and the hair isn't as expressive as I expected.
Regardless, this is exactly what I expected from Skyrim. We're getting far better graphics than Oblivion and Fallout, we're seeing more detail in characters and environments, and there's definitely a more artistic approach to the game (looking at the weather, the costume designs, etc).
It's nice to see games like Mass Effect (which does a phenomenal job with it's main characters), the Witcher (speaks for itself), and now Skyrim really try to personify characters and landscapes. It's official: 2011 is the year of the RPG.
EDIT: And I have to mention, we still have a good 8 months before this game comes out. What we're seeing is a game still in significant development. Just imagine what the game is going to look like in November
