PC gamers should get a Skyrim PC section

Post » Thu Oct 13, 2011 3:14 pm

It is so annoying starting a modding thread to have it be overrun by immature console gammers saying "mods svck" "we need mods for Xbox" etc... So can we please have a Skyrim PC General Discussion. Also, it will limit the threads about PC specs to one place so I am sure that will make console gammer happy, so both parties will be happy.
Thanks!

Mod discussion will be available a few days before the game is released.

If you could read you would see I am not asking for a modding thread. I am asking for a "PC general discussion" thread.

"So can we please have a Skyrim PC General Discussion"

Like I said, this will be available a few days before the game is released. For an example, go look at the Morrowind and Oblivion sub forums.

Naah...

No need to segregrate the community even more with this silly platform wars.

Like the friend above said, modd section will arrive after release. It will be enough.

it is silly but almost every thread turns into console and PC bashing so obiously the community cannot handle being together. I am tired of reading a thread about werewolves that turns into responsed like "there will be no werewolves because Xbox svcks" etc...

PC bashing is fine, I laugh at puny console kids who bash what is superior in every way

Console bashing is also fine, theyre holding the master race back! <_<

I am so sick of this. Just because you play on a computer doesn't grant you special privileges. You don't need a damn PC section, discuss it here.

Yeah... This topic seems like an immature attempt at stirring up another "Battle of the Platforms". Stop trying to stir things up, you know PC will get it's own section when the time comes.

I've never seen anything like that but, okay.
I don't see the point in adding a PC only section, It'd be quite annoying in all honesty.
Modding section may as well be a PC only section to begin with, except for the few that have PS/360's and PC's.

you would get your own section too. How is that unfair? You could even come over and read our section if you like. And the General section would still be here for everyone to universally share.

Should they do this, you could discover that the most interesting discusions are hosted in the forum part not belonging to your plataform of choices. Besides, it stinks to segregation.

I don't get why you need your own forum. Beyond that I don't understand why I have to chose? I have an Xbox a PS3 and a PC. I love them all for different reasons and they each have things they do well. Why can't that be good enough. One doesn't have to be supreme. I get that people have limited budgets and have to chose between the three for what they will own but that doesn't mean that you have to hate the other two. Just enjoy your choice and leave the rest of us alone about it. That last line is more for any flamers not the OP, sorry.

Speaking as a PC gamer, no thank you. I'm sure we'll get a separate tech support forum on release, but otherwise the game is the game. No need to fragment the community. And no need to generalize about the maturity of folks using different devices.

Fragmenting would be a good thing if nothing else. Have you seen how many posts are crammed into this one section? The more Skyrim subforums the better.

Another thing. I can't see how is immature to ask for mods for Xbox/PS3 in a thread about mods, neider to ask for footage for PC/PS3 in a thread about the last footage.

Things will definitely go better with separate forums. Not all topics apply to both platforms, and the players of each will have experiences specific to their own. PC specific threads will be bloat to console gamers, and PC users won't want to have to see console threads pushing the PC threads off the page faster. Some console players will also get confused when PC players post about mods or tweaks, wondering what part of the game they're talking about... it will generally be a big mess.

Like has been said, there will be a mod section in time. Platform/console bashing is not allowed, so just report it if you see it.
