anything 30+ is great for me. my old eye's don't really see much difference past that except for how 'smooth' the experience is. below 30 and i definitely notice slideshow/stuttering.
30+ is good for me I can get 60 though on bethesda games, it almost never goes to 20 unless I have AA on I have a 460gtx 12gb ram phenom 2 3.2 quad core
I expect ~50-60FPS, as that is what most other games run at on my system. Depending on how optimized it is. Maxed everything at 1920x1080. My mentality is, if I cant max a game, time to upgrade.
60 fps with V-Sync. Screen tearing makes me dizzy. I un-installed RAGE because the screen tearing is so bad. Can't believe id didn't do testability on their PC (PC!!!!!) (Fing PC!) version.
My biggest problem with Oblivion was the wilderness loading and how it stuttered. RAMdisks eliminated that for the most part. If I had ~$4000 extra laying around I would try running a dedicated RAMdisk server where some games would be installed on the RAM.
64GB of RAM 2x 10Gigabit NICs (one in the server and one in my gaming PC) Decent CPU (doesnt need to be that fast)
Considering that "cinema" (the "big screen" movies) run at 25 fps, anything at 30+ ("standard definition" interlaced TV rate) is great. I've noticed "flicker" in a few programs at around 25, but by 30 it's not an issue.
