Games for Windows Live Deletion

I understand that you are doing some kind of fix to get rid of GFWL and substituting Steam as the DRM. That sounds fine for those who have their games through Steam, but are you doing anything about fixing it for the rest of us when GFWL disappears in a few short months??

Thanks

Where did you read they were updating the game to remove GFWL? It isn't even needed to play the game.

And if they are removing it, the only thing they would replace it with is Steam. It is more cost effective to only translate to one DRM then to try and translate to 2. The only other options for DRM are no DRM or always on DRM, and the former is highly unlikely to happen,

GFWL is not disappearing in the next few months, only the Marketplace is. And you don't need that to play the game, all you need is the GFWL client to install the game and make your initial start-up. After that it doesn't get used at all. By all accounts, there are no immediate plans to get rid of the client. Just grab a copy of it and store it on your hard drive somewhere.
