Games from your youth

Super Mario All-Stars was my first game ever, and Donkey Kong Country as close second.
I believe my first real computer game was Age of Empires 1, or Sim City 2000. Nontheless they were my only ones for a year or two, until I got Age of Empires II in 2001 or something.
Other than that, there was Worms Armageddon, which I played for a great many years.

EDIT: And how could I forget Panzer Front.

Computer game? That'd be the original Wizardry trilogy. Man, I spent soooo much time with that game! Pretty much a nuts and bolts D&D basic game.

P.S. Trebor Sux!

I played soooooo many games of http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MuFHWToil8s with my friends and brother as a kid.

It's the greatest hockey game ever! I especially love the fact that when two players fight only the loser gets a five minutes penalty. Can you imagine the insanity if NHL hockey had those rules?

Wizard's Crown, C64

Bard's Tale series, C64

Pool Of Radiance and SSI gold box series, C64

Master Of Monsters, Sega Genesis

I still play them every once in a while. The old RPGs where you formed an entire party had a certain charm to them that the modern, single character RPGs can't match. Master Of Monsters is just a gem of an obscure game, and the Playstation version is not nearly as good (it's not even the same game, just the same name)

Then there's Tag...loved Tag.

Candyland...My dad always wanted a purple player, so mom and I made a little purple cover that slipped over a player and I drew a face on it :)

What's Blanket toss? I never heard of that.

And in my opinion the best real game as a kid was ''ballon quille'' that would roughly translate to ''bowling pin ball''. It's pretty much the same rules as dodge ball, but with more balls and the real objective (instead of eliminating every opposing player) is to knock down a row of bowling pins in the back of each side (on the line behind the players but in front of the eliminated players). It's epic since you mustn't just survive, but rather defend your pins. I guess this makes the game some kind of mix of Cricket and Dodgeball. :mohawk:

It's sad that now as an advlt staying in shape means going to the Gym with everyone having so busy lives, while back as kids we just played outside whenever we felt like it...

Gorf?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gorf

Kind of a compilation game of some successful arcade titles.

Pong was still in a few places when I was young, but not many. Breakouts had come more into fashon..then Space Invaders.

What I just watched?

Pure awesome

Hehe, I always played the green dragon. My brother always played the armadillo. We never could beat the final boss, because he was totally hax. Way too much damage and HP once you get him to transform into his robot frog form.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qodk4y_tQgo! The "YEAAAH" sound effect

Also http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_zyQ_OVyhNE, and Worms. Renaming the alt Worms team after celebrities that annoyed me and killing them in inventive ways. Perhaps I had a troubled childhood.

Oh oh oh! Also http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N6-G6Nc9S30, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bklfbpP5J5Q, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x_CTE5Xx_1o, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3hy6Kb_MAdo, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HGyPtnEQ8gw... god bless you, Rimmer!

When I were a kid we didn't have games. We entertained ourselves by drawing on the cave walls.
