Command and Conquer 4...

On the top place of my "Things that exists but i try hard to convince myself they don't" list. And they say Dragon Age 2/Mass Effect2/Fallout 3/Oblivion is an embarrassemant of a sequel :shakehead:

I liked AvP. A little linear and run of the mill and the replay value is non-existent but it's still a solid game. Certainly nothing the developers should have to apologize for.

A game has to be pretty bad to warrant an apology. There's certainly a few out there. Final Fantasy XIV is proof of that. Pretty much any MMO that cancels service within 6 months of the game's release. Hellgate London comes to mind but that still had a single player aspect so I can let it slide.

Command & Conquer 4, SimCity Socities, Sims 3, and recent Need for Speed games.

Four of the biggest franchises decimated due to EA. And people wonder why I don't like EA much.

Morrowind came out my junior year of college. I went from a 4.0 to a 3.55 for graduation. Bethesda should apologize to me. :stare:

Command and Conquer 4...

Okay, I am going to be a hypocrite of what I said earlier. C&C4 was just utter trash. The developers should apologize for that thing.

Mass Effect 2

Did people make the same big stink about Mass Effect 2, like they're doing with Dragon 2?

I feel like i'm the only one that was completely let down by Mass Effect 2.

You know what I think it is about the Need for Speed franchise? I think EA look at other racing games that are doing well, make one like them, and slap it in the NFS franchise. I don't know for sure but I reckon if you went back through all the Need for Speeds save for those that had the Road & Track feature of racing + cops = occasional chases. You'd find that some studio or other had released a racing game that was doing quite well at the time. The Burnouts, Vanishing Points, Ridge Racers, Gran Turismos, Porsche Challenges, Project Gothams and stuff. There'll be a NFS offering, identical in almost every way at around the same time (a short while after) as them. lol :D

Nope, they watered it down and most people apparently couldn't taste the difference.

Not that I remember, at least around its release. It was mostly praise, and I was part of it for a while. Disappointment didn't really start to set in until I was about halfway through Mass Effect 2, when I realized that the main story was lacking and that your teammates really were the focus of the game. We're definitely in the minority.

Fable 3, but the apology should go to the world designers. They actually did a pretty good job with that, but everything was egregious.

Agreed, world looks nice, everything else is terrible.

Dear people who made Rogue warrior, give up.

I am so glad I clicked this expecting a DA2 rant.

Nah it was awesome. They tried to make a big stink about it, but we got the lock down on some of the annoying posters. It was a big mess that needed to be cleaned up several times, still baffled the thread is still open.

I originally praised it, then played again and though "hang on this feels the same" and then it wnet down from there, ME2 is a terrible rpg imo, ok tps, but I didnt buy it for a TPS.
But I dont say much anymore becuase you criticse and get called a troll, bioware fans will just drown out any criticism, as far as I am concerned they are welcome to the gear clone with dialouge (dosent make it an rpg) becuase arguing dosent work, I do get issed however when a game like ME2 is beating actual rpgs, fallout NV > ME2. If RPGs decline into games with intereactive cutscenes I blame the BW fans. And look at DA2, static armour for companions BW is already bringing "rpgs" into a bad direction, because just like ME it will end up with very little in gameplay, but just give you some dialouge that changes nothing, you can be a dike or a sanit, but your still going to crouch behind that chest high wall and fight the same mercs, the same damn way.

Nope, they watered it down and most people apparently couldn't taste the difference.

And pissed in the story, ruining reapers by mixing soylent green with the terminator. Making the council idiots "hurr dissmissed" and generally just messing it up.

what games do you think warrant a public apology to the entire population of the earth because of the pain and misery they have inflicted on a global level? first ones that immediately popped into my mind in no particular order.......

rogue warrior

fable 3

deus ex 2

force unleashed

AvP......the new one released last year.

shadowrun........the MP shooter released a few years back......NOT the awesome game on the sega genesis.

two worlds 1

gothic 4

im sure there are worse ones but i can only comment on the ones i have played myself.
Deus Ex 2 and Two Worlds should not be on a list like this. They weren't that bad.

I should have an apology for nobody making a new Jet Set Radio game.
While I don't have it, Bethesda should be sorry for the PS 3 version of Oblivion. Not fixing the Vampire bug is pretty shamefull for a company like Bethesda. Who do they think they are? Activision or Atari? Shamefull, really shamefull.

Yes it is kinda sad the only way I can fix this is to get the European version of it , then go language options and go down to german and change it to that and some [censored] reason it works.

I don't see why you think they owe you an apology. If you had half a brain you would've know that Fable 3 wad crap along with all the other common names in this thread. Would you ask for an apology if you bought a really crappy book, no you would probably not buy the authors next book unless you heard some really good reviews. People will mindlessly buy anything a twinkie bribed fatty said was good, just look at Dead Space 2 and Fable 3 sales. And by doing so they allow game companies to continue to make the same crap.
