Games That Developers Owe Everyone An Apology For.........

Every Bioware game that isn't Knights of the Old Republic.

The console ports of The Orange Box.

And Gearbox should apologize for making Duke Nukem when they could have been making a Borderlands sequel instead.

I think that if anyone owes an apology, it should be Mystique for producing Custer's Revenge for their depiction of General Custer.

Other than that, I think Stellar Stone should apologize for lying on the box about Big Rigs. The game itself is pretty much as broken as it can get, but there's nothing wrong with making a bad game. What gets me is that they lied about it.

Warning: Custer's Revenge is as NSFW as an Atari 2600 game can get.

Star Trek: Tatical Assault on the PSP: No in flight mission repair, horrible upgrading system (I think your upgrading the enemy ships rather then your own), unfair battles (either your out matched or out gunned or both and sometimes it's the first part of the mission) and this came out after ST: Legacy (which I loved)---shame.

I've mentioned this game several times and here it is again----> Alone in the Dark on the 360: Gawd awful controls and a Gawd awful camera.

Valis X: This Blasphemy Hentai game nearly killed the franchise. Everyone I've talked to tells me I'm lucky that I did not play it.

Rise of the Robots on the Sega Megadrive/Genesis.

If you need to ask why, you haven't played it.

OFC?

Of course.

Might as well put it here: WoW.

World of Starcraft would have been better. But no lie Blizzard keep up the good games. In SC:2 when they lost an employee they put his name on the dogtag of a dead marine, pretty cool.

There is only one company that owes us this kind of apology:

Developers don't owe anyone an apology. You chose to pay for and play the game.

-Fable 3
-Oblivion
-World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King

-Final Fantasy X-2

All of these games were a huge disappointment to either me or most everyone.

Who gives a [censored]?

who gives a [censored] about Borderlands 2? See how it looks when you reverse it? It's called an opinion, deal with it.

@Dario, whats wrong with FFXI? I still occasionally fire up FFXI and talk to friends on that game. It was quite a fun game with a lot of stuff to do in it. Like, Grind, and Grind, get better gear, grind better and faster, get better gear, then even more better gear, then grind at the fastest possible pace.....hehehe. It's more fun then it sounds ^^

ahh, I was actually asking what you specifically didn't like about it(assuming you actually played it). I introduced a few friends to it and one of them couldn't stand the game because he thought the graphics were to outdated. I've known other people who didn't like it because it was such a slog through the mud to get your first character to 75(took me 2 years).

Killzone 3-Don't get me wrong the gameplay is great and has all the features it needs to be a great FPS and it is one, plus I can't wait to use my PS move and the PS Move Sharpshooter as soon as I get the PS move controller. My gripe is the box dosn't say you need a 6 Axis controller or a controller with motion detection to play it. Now I have a game Apachie Air Assault and it says you can use either a Duelshock 3 or a 6 Axis, that's fine---Killzone 3 dosn't say that. It just says you need a Duelshock 3. Inmost case if a game has a 6 Axis (or motion sinsitive) there's an option that allows you to turn it off and use the anolog stick normally KZ3 dosn't have this option. So I got up to the part in the game where you needed to open the gate and you need a motion sinsitive controller inorder to progress. so now I have wait untill I get paid again to buy a motion controller (either a Duelshock three or the PS move) inorder to play the game. Now because the game dose have some fun with the mutiplayer or Bot matches I would like to hear Sony at least say "Oops---we forgot to mention that little detail about the 6 Axis need to play didn't we. Im just gonna go ahead and say that I never play a 'bad game.' There are games that pale in comparison to others, and there are games that I may regret spending my money on, but either way, there was still something fun about it. Even if it was the same as the last game in so many ways, if the last game was decent, Im not complaining.

I'm not one for thinking developers owes the consumer anything providing they can get away with it or please the vast majority and that we as the consumer chose to consume.

However if there is one game that was a mistake of mediocrity I would have to go with Dragon Age 2 (yes that probably comes as no surprise) making me lose a lot of respect for Bioware and their role as a lapdog to EA with a rushed game and an overabundance of DLC. Bioware was my second favorite company and thought that ME 2 was a good game and not one to be a self entitled (overly) pessimistic nerd. But after this fiasco I begin to doubt that ME 3 could even romotely live up to expectation with little develop time though executive meddling on the part of EA and in part as a division of EA Bioware.
