I've been thinking about games after postng in the other thread about our gaming history. I owned a 3DO and to my mind there was maybe one or two good games for it, Space Hulk, Wing Commander III, and uh... D? Maybe. Because there was nothing else like it at the time. But everything else on it was Digital Pictures crap, like Psychic Detective, ha, "Pychic pizza! We know when you're hungry!" Or Snowjob!I I remember for the longest time I had one game for it. Because they were so expensive. That game was Hell! Some good voice acting but really I had no real clue what was going on with it. Then when the console started to die I was picking games up left right for next to nothing, had thirty or so games, and still, only a few were worth playing. I mean I remember a zombie shooter that, man it was bad... basically photos of zombies bounding at the screen. Complete the game and get a video of a chick in a bikini riding in the back of your speed boat. The 3DO did have the best Need for Speed ever though, up until Most Wanted was released.
Actually EA should apologise for the Need for Speed franchise. I mean, Hot Pursuit was basically going back to the Road & Track roots of the first game, but it svcked eggs. Seriously, the Need for Speed franchise for me goes Need for Speed: Road & Track.... [blank, repressed memories] ... Need for Speed: Most Wanted... [blank] ... waiting for a Most Wanted/Road & Track remake done right.
Nintendo should apologise for the current stream of garbage featuring Mario, Wario and every other character they're slowly killing off by making them appear in half-assed sports games, racing games, and cheap party non-games.
Black Hole Entertainment should apologise for Warhammer: Mark of Chaos and its expansion Battle March. I don't know how you mess up a great setting like Warhammer in a RTS game... but they managed it. Loading screens so long you can find time to consummate a child, sit through a nine-month pregnancy, and have a child named Sigmar before the map appears. Cyanide should apologise for Blood Bowl, because "Live the game in real-time" turned out to be a joke. This game would have done really well as a Madden/Quarterback Club type epic. Instead its a turn-based lengthy boardgame for PC with a real-time feature that knackers all the rules and is easier than stealing sweets from dead children. If gamers wanted boardgames they'd go buy boardgames.
JoWood Productions should probably just apologise for existing. Etherlords? Chaser? All right I quite liked Chaser. But just because I quite liked it doesn't mean it didn't svck.
EA should apologise for Godfather II, and... so many other things. Like being Satan's corporation on Earth.
I agree the last AvP was a pile of steaming crud. Easiest game ever maybe? A bad console port to PC. Harder on console purely because the controls blow and are slow, easy on PC purely because the enemies are made to be shot by a player using slow and bad console controls. lol
Uhm, Condemned 2 svcked...
... I'm trying to think of the worst game I've ever played. I think there's two: Iron & Blood: Warriors of Ravenloft, and Chronicles of the Sword on Playstation. They svcked because I'm the type of player who plays games to completion, no matter how much they blow. I wanted to like Iron & Blood, I like Ravenloft. lol The game svcked. Most recent svck job...
... I'd say Two Worlds. I'm with the OP. I played to completion on 360, but meh, it svcked. lol
