Games you find relaxing..

Post » Sun Nov 16, 2014 11:09 am

I personally love many different Genre's of games.. RPGs, JRPGs, RTS, TBS, FPS, Simulation, VN's, MMOs, etc..

However, sometimes when I have had a rough week, or just feeling depressed (which is quite common lately), I want to play something that is just relaxing to play.. Something light hearted and Cheery, that will make me smile and give a nice chuckle..

so, What are some games you find relaxing to play?

I always found Harvest Moon games to be extremely relaxing..

All my games are relaxing for me, I wouldn't play them if they weren't... well maybe except Total War. That's more of a thinking game so that's the fun of it.

For me it's Oblivion. There's something about the colorful landscape and the peaceful music that relaxes me.

I have to agree with this too, and i'll like to add that random silly dialog too, after a long day, sitting down in the middle of one of the cities, hearing the music and the silly dialog does take my mind off things. I occasionally also do a TGM, and set the auto-walk function, and just let my character walk in peace while I just sit and relax with the music.

Skyrim to an extent too now that I blasted it with Saturation and replaced the music with Oblivion's. But it can't beat Oblivion's serene nature.

Let's see other games..

Animal Crossing: New Leaf, the Harvest Moon series(which I will soon replace with Wild Seasons when it comes out!) Sims 2, Sims Medieval, Fantasy Life.

I've always found Oblivion relaxing too, not just because the landscape and the music (exploration and town) but also because of sitting around the NPCs and listening to them talk. I did enjoy Skyrim to an extent as well but it was missing everything that made Oblivion fun for me, though I still played it a lot.

Harvest Moon Inspired Indie Game, been following it for a while now. :)

I played the Pre-Alpha Demo, I will admit the controls are a bit odd, but it's pre-alpha.

None of them, really. I get pissed at little things too easily.
