gamesas re-launch date

Post » Sat Nov 14, 2009 4:37 am

Well apparently the site re-launched on the 11th but I've read that it only came online till the 13th. I signed up on the 20th so I'm wondering if I'm elegible for the beta as im not sure if the week sign up rule started on the 11th or 13th.

Please help, cheers.

Week sign up rule? Can't remember reading anything about something like that. The only thing I can remember is that you have to sign up early after site relaunch, but no exact time for when it is/was to late

The website launched on June 13th, so you are within the first wave. If you stay active here, your chances for getting the beta will likely be higher, because Crytek is tracking the first wave also. Just dont spam as that will get you nowhere. ;)

Did't they remove the info about first signups getting into the beta from the newspost one or two days after launch? I thought that represented the cutoff for the beta.

I have also wondered about that. It could be possible they have cut off the beta. It could also mean that when they removed the information about the beta the ended the beta signup. So vereyone that joined before they removed the info has a chance on getting a beta key. (If ther will be a beta...)

Guys, there isn't going to be a beta. The game is done and ready to be shipped off for distribution. I don't think Crytek ever intended to give us one.

Just be quiet, please. You don't need to spoil every thread with your negativity when this is just asking about a beta. You act like Crytek are conspiring against us all... -.-

------------

I have worried about the beta sign up pull as well. I am thinking that either:

1. This was a signal to end the sign ups, and to reduce the chance that noobs would sign up to the website three weeks later expecting a beta key.

2. Crytek decided to ditch the idea and thought of a better way to distribute the keys.

3. EA overrode Crytek's idea with the EA strategy of pre-ordering.

Those seem to be the most likely options of what happened.

Lol, some of you guy's need some anger management counseling. Demanding people should shut up when you don't like what they say is pretty childish.

I hope it's not 1 or 3. As far as I know I registered on day 2, but the site was so slow that I didn't manage to read anything, and I don't want to pay for something now and get it much later

lol, your the guys who seem to think they know it all. Even though Crytek still to this day announces that it will be released Christmas, and Amazon now shows a release date of Nov 29th, according to the people like you, it won't be released till next year and we are still going to have a beta. I'd love to see where you got your facts from.

Oh wait, you didn't!

Yeah, speculation and opinion is fine. Of course, I'm just speculating based on the facts known so far that Crytek is going to continue on the path that they are saying. I don't see how there could be a beta if they plan on releasing at Christmas. It would be the shortest Beta test I have ever seen. I also think if there was going to be a beta, we would be talking to them at least once in while on these forums. The real Crytek staff seem to be totally absorbed elsewhere which makes me think they are wrapping things up.

The BFBC2 BETA was released 1 month before retail release. Crysis1 BETA went for 3 months and had a 3 stage release. The MOH BETA started 4 months prior to scheduled retail release. The NFS World Open BETA went for 7 days.

There is no "fact" in stating that all BETA's run for an exact and same amount of time. The Community Managers for Crytek and the web development team are completely separate entities to the Crysis development team.

These are facts :)

We can't have the BETA yet because Crysis 2 requires a fully sentient processor. So when your computer can have a conversation with you or when it builds its own legs and runs away you know we're close.

I hope the Crysis 2 beta runs for 3 months like the first one. Not only because I'm selfish and want to play, but because I want to find as many bugs and glitches as possible before the release when its harder to fix. :)
