Paul has a point:

"And if you're struck while backpedaling, your character will likely stumble and fall, leaving you open to attack."

One of your points is false, you can put a shield in your right hand and a sword in your left. Confirmed in the Nerd Trek interview.

I'll have to find my resource, but I remember them saying SPECIFICALLY that you could but a weapon in your left hand, but you cannot put a shield in your right hand with a weapon in your left. Something about Dovahkiin's attack animations for 1 weapon and 1 shield being rigged to right handed only.

Is it just me or are gaming publishers simply copying with they are reading else-where to drive traffic to their websites?

Seriously, I think that some of these gaming article publishers have never even played the demo like they claim and are just regurgitating old news from other sites. Then someone on this forum unwittingly posts a link to it.

That's because game journalists aren't legitimate journalists. They're jokes. Sad but true fact.

if you press and release the button to quickly cast the Fireball spell, you'll launch a basketball-sized flaming orb at your enemy. But if you hold the button down and release the spell at its full strength, your hand will become a veritable flame thrower.

These guys are just rehashing old info, we already know this isn't true by watching the quakecon leak, they're two different spells.Plus no one that played the PAX demo never mentioned being able cast both a flamethrower and a fireball with one spell.

you choose to be left handed or right handed at the beginning of the game, so you're right, your character can't be ambidextrous

Just a recap of everything we already know.

Pretty much. And there was a quite a few bits of misinformation in there as well.

We already know how scaling works in dungeons. You can't enter every dungeon at level 5 and screw yourself making a low level world. Dungeons have level ranges like in Fallout 3. For instance, if you enter a dungeon with a range of 20-25 at level 5 it will lock to 20. Enter at 40 it lock at 25. Enter at 23 it locks and 23 and so fourth.

As I was reading about the arrows being rather rare, I couldn't remember if anyone has confirmed yet whether or not used arrows are recoverable after we shoot them. Did anyone experience that first-hand in the hands-on play we've been getting and tell us about it? Thanks for posting this link; I hadn't seen it yet.

Thanks. It sounds like the combat is going to take a while to learn and my character is more mage than battlemage so I'd like to use ranged defenses when I have to...bows and spells. I sure hope the arrows are recoverable too. Since we're able to craft things, I'm also hoping we can craft our own arrows with gathered sticks and maybe feathers and iron. No one has revealed that either, I guess.

"Less populated than Cyrodiil"

Are they talking about in lore or the actual game world? I hope there aren't less NPC's than in Oblivion.
