Is Gamestop confirmed to have midnight launch events? : Fallout: New Vegas

I was just wondering because I want to pick up my pre order as soon as possible. I know GS had FO3 midnight launches and I wanted to know if this was confirmed or not. :celebration:

Each store only does it if there are enough preorders so call your local store and ask. It might be too soon to find out though.

I think it depends on the individual stores, I know certain ones in my area have done them for high profile games before, like any of the Halo's, Super Smash Brothers Brawl, Modern Warfare 2, etc., but I know not all of them do them.

So it would probably be a good idea to call the store you pre-ordered it at and inquire directly. And even if they say no now, call again and ask about a week to a few days before, just to make sure, I had a family member miss a midnight release because a clerk had told her no two weeks in advance, but then they ended up doing a midnight release anyway.

Hope you can pick it up as soon as possible.

As others have said, each individual Gamestop determines whether or not they will have a midnight release. Call the one you pre-ordered from every few days until the release to find out if they do. I personally have called mine at least 4 times over the past month, and each time they've said they don't know yet. I actually called today, and they still don't know. Once some guy almost told me no, but then corrected himself and said they didn't know yet, so you have to call multiple times to know for sure.

I cant believe people would smash a window over a game. Unless it was someone who hated that game. hmmmm...

Anyway, i hope that they do a midnight release. I got the day before and after off just to play. I will play Fallout 3 for the last time for a while after the release of new vegas.

i asked the guy at game stop when i went to preorder NV Saturday about a midnight opening all he told me was that he didn't know :sadvaultboy:

I already asked, and pretty much no, or depends
because they need more reservations. So, get on the forums
and tell people to reserve the game.

I just called the Gamestop I pre ordered NV at and they confirmed that they are having a Midnight launch! Time for a celebration!

Know mine had MW2, Halo 3 and Wrath of the Lich King midnight launch events. Doesn't seem all too unlikely

But yeah, probably depends on your local store...

Depends on the store.

The one closest to me is one of the best selling GameStop stores in/around Houston, and they have midnight releases for any game that's half-decent.

Wonder if it would help to use different voices so they think there are a lot of people who want this. Of course, it all falls apart if they ever compare the actual number of pre-orders to the number of people who have called in requesting a midnight release.

Of course, you could get it at Walmart, they are usually open 24 hours a day.

Looking up New Vegas on Best Buy, apparently certain stores do midnight releases for certain games as well, so for anyone who pre-ordered from Best Buy, I suggest heading over to the website and checking.

Doesn't matter if the one I preordered at is doing a midnight release or not. I will be asleep. I have to go in to work at 5:30 am the morning of the 19th, as I do every work day. I will go pick it up and play when I get off work.
