GameStop Online Pip Boy Edition Delay

Post » Mon Dec 07, 2015 8:19 pm

Hi Bethesda!

I am a long time fan of your games and was super excited to pre-order a Pip Boy Edition back during the Summer. I have been anxiously waiting to get this game for my pc and even went as far as upgrading my system etc.

Tonight, the night before release mind you, Gamestop has just sent an email to many of us that ordered Pip Boy editions that there was a delay and we will not be getting our games for an "undetermined" amount of time.

After calling Gamestop they have informed us that the issue lies with product codes for the shipments they received from Bethesda!

Is there anything you can do to help us out! Can we get a digital download code and I'd gladly give you the code in the box whenever it arrives? This is such torture to us fans that pre-ordered the pip boy edition day one being such big fans and then to be told we have to wait for who knows how long to actually enjoy this wonderful game!

Please let me know if you can do anything about this..pretty pretty please!!

svcks... but then this is exactly why I NEVER buy from Gamestop. Only ever had problems with them, with their employees, and their prices are garbage. Word of advice... get this stuff off of Amazon next time.

On a side note... where exactly did all of these people come from that you're aware of? You're the first to specifically say that it's been pushed back indefinitely and why. Other people had issues with their orders but not like this.

I agree. I'm sorry this happened to you. But never preorder from gamestop. Especially with how they treated the pipboy editions when they were announced. I'm sorry delaying the upc for them for in store purchases so you can only do online sales of them? No. Sorry there was no excuse to withhold the upc from stores for two bloody days.

As a sidenote, Amazon appears to be having similar issues with being uncertain if they will have the stock to fulfil their orders for the pip boy edition.

No idea why some are having such issues with GameStop.....they never set one foot wrong by me....they wobbled a couple of times but always owned up to their mistakes and fixed them without me losing out. My PipBoy was mailed out by them today and will arrive tomorrow....they are still a-ok in my book.

I've ordered my copy from GS - no issues here. It was processed today and UPs is delivering it tomorrow.

Gamestops facebook page has other people like me that received the same email and also pre-ordered the Pip Boy edition on day one online. I'm glad that other folks aren't having issues...that is kind of rubbing salt in the wound here though.

I'll share your feedback with our sales team, but there's not a lot we can do with the orders through retail.

Thanks for the heads up.

Thats why I didn't bother to order that. I am not going to take the risk of late deliveries on a stupid pipboy that I can easily pick up on Ebay down the road even if it cost a bit more. I know my internet connection works and I already preloaded and did all the driver updates so the only thing that can mess this up is a freak storm taking out the internet or Steam screwing up somehow.

The positive is they are owning up to it and you will still get your PipBoy, negative of course being you have to wait to play which can be pretty disheartening but the better news is they have your PipBoy and know what the issue is and are working to fix it so hopefully it should be solved within a couple of days and your PipBoy will then be on its way to you.

Yeah, I got the email too... though to be honest, it didn't give me the one day delivery. I only got a two day delivery option. But after I bought a friend of mine FO4 as a birthday gift, and his current g/f has turned him away from gaming... his loss is my gain!

Well after thinking long and hard on it..I have decided to cancel my Gamestop order and instead purchase the Digital Download on Steam. I much rather play the game then sit around for who knows how long and read about how much fun the game is to other people. I will never be doing business with gamestop again in the future. My friends bought the pip boy edition from bestbuy and amazon respectively with trakcing numbers in hand.

Thanks Gstaff for looking into it but your response sounds pretty much in line with what I expected. I wouldn't expect you guys to make up for Gamestop's horrible service.

At least you know whats going on with your order. Mine is listed as "open" and "pending" online... can't get through to a single person at Gamestop as to the exact status of my order... this after they sent me an email saying payment was rejected (it wasn't)...
