4/25/11 in gamestop i sell 4 games in hope to get enough money for TES 4 GOTY, just to play the **** out of it before Skyrim hits the shelfs in November.. I get $42 in store credit.. i go straight to the PS3 section.. and look around for about 12minutes.. NO TES GOTY D:... i see Oblivion.. but NO GOTY. I walk up to the register and ask if they can help me find it.. they check they're inventory.. NO GOTY.. Then.. The lady says, "lets check to see if any nearby GameStop has it in stock... 9seconds later.. she says "......... (something), North Carolina"... O_o.. The closest GameStop that has GOTY is in NC.. remember im in VA.. So i put my $42 on a Gift Card ... Next time we will meet .. and you will be mine!.. Can you believe Oblivion GOTY is makin more sales thanks to Skyrim..

I think I got the gist of it, but OH GOD, please leave the poor English Language alone. What did it ever do to you?

DLC is absolutely lame, and so is includisng DLC in a GOTY edition. The content should come in an expansion with an overall story instead of pointless little drops of content

its not that the sales have gone up so much since they announced it....it was hard to find in stores even before they announced skyrim....the reason they dont have it anywhere is that they don't order it to put in their stock so all they have is what people like us sell to them.

Of course, you do realize Virginia shares a large border with North Carolina, right? So "Something", NC could be 10-15 minutes away?

I don't really know what your point is, but yes I can believe it. I for one know several people who have picked up Oblivion now based on what they have seen of Skyrim so far. They want in on the action that swept the planet in 2006. GOTY is the best viable option for experiencing Oblivion to it's fullest and most epic. I'm not gonna vote because I don't understand what I'm voting for, but I'll tell you this.

2006: I bought Oblivion day of release because I was a fan of Morrowind.
2007: After playing through Oblivion to it's fullest, I thought about buying the add ons separately, but I resisted. Instead I purchased GOTY. I live in England. Every town in England is close together by American terms. There were no copies on the day of release of GOTY. I waited a week before getting it. Since then, GOTY has still been in production, and new copies are still being made. Or were until recently at least. I'm not sure. Either way, it has been increasingly difficult to get a GOTY edition since 2007. The current resurgence of the Elder Scrolls probably hasn't helped. So yes I can believe it when you say the only other copy is a million miles away from you. It's a damn good game, that has had a whole lot of attention since it came out. And Skyrim has bolstered that market tenfold.

Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?

In all seriousness though, if it's too far you might be better off saving up and hitting Amazon or another retailer for the GOTY edition. Maybe save the in-store credit for Deus Ex or one of the other titles due out this year.

I already owned them, but my cousin who hadn't really been into ES games before got Morrowind after the Skyrim announcement and we started new games of that.

I actually just ordered a new copy, Got the collectors edition with the gold septim for £17 from Amazon.

It's been a long long time since I played Oblivion so I'm itching to get my hands on it.

Can someone please explain why every freaking "I like TES" thread has to have an obligatory "Call of Duty svcks!" comment in it? What did a completely different genre of game ever do to you? Did it run over your puppy? Did it steal your homework? What?

(For the record, I just got the Oblivion GotY a couple months ago. Along with Divinity 2. Had to come up with something to do with an Amazon giftcard from Christmas. All this talk about Call of Duty did inspire me to reinstall my CoD 1 Deluxe pack, though. Been awhile since I'd played one of those games.)

Why isn't this guy banned yet?

Also you didn't have to make an entire thread for this.
