» Sun Dec 22, 2013 8:20 am I'd love to address an issue that has been around for years across all platforms and it's a certain bug where Kindred Judgement, the last quest of the expansion Dawnguard, won't start after picking up Auriel's Bow consequently completing the previous quest, Touching the Sky.
I've now hit the bug head-on and the complete lack of response on this issue from ANY kind of competent person is very disturbing. It is also highly disturbing how bethesda with their many comprehensive patches AND unofficial dawnguard patch have both missed a major bug like this.
There seems to be a couple of fixes, which are really more like workarounds. You're in luck if you're on Dawnguard side, because there's a fix for that. A possible cause for this bug on vampire side could be both hireable hounds from Volkihar being dead. In this case you're also in luck, there's a workaround for that too. But there seems to be next to no information on what's causing this horrible bug! If there is anyone at all willing to investigate this issue, I'll gladly send you my savegame.
Also, possible fixes have been:
setstage dlc1vq07 200 - but that's nonsense, the quest completes fine.
completequest dlc1vq08
resetquest dlc1vq08
setstage dlc1vq08 10 or 20 - which doesn't seem to do anything, though completequest dlc1vq08 does work in sense, but no NPC except for Serana acknowledges that. Also, it doesn't seem to show up as completed in journal.
At this point I've tried everything, but without the creation kit and with lack of any sufficient knowledge, I just gave up... Something I don't do lightly.
