Gametrailers most anticipated E3 Games, Skyrim highly antici

Post » Mon Sep 20, 2010 8:10 am

Gametrailers mentions on their site that their E3 coverage will be spectacular this year, they will have live streams up on their facebook as well as on the site itself. I just watched a video and Skyrim came in second for most anticipated (right after the new Bioshock). This is good news because that means they could be very fanatical about getting us some coverage, of any kind. http://www.gametrailers.com/video/top-10-gt-countdown/714356

I am sure I don't need to ask how excited you guys are.. I know I am. I know there are E3 threads around already but the reason I posted this was to show the video of their list (showing Skyrim at the top) and let you guys know that they should have live streams. They also say to check Spike TV (for U.S. Residents) for coverage. For everyone else you will have access to the streams via gametrailers.com I believe. <3

10 days away, I can't wait! I'll be following tons of coverage online, but on tv i'll be glued to G4TV.

lol, yeah but that is all opinion. I myself am a lot more hyped for Skyrim than Bioshock but at least it is at their top! This means we might get some good scoops. Also, I have become pals with Shane at IW and I have requested certain info if he can try to get it.. not sure if he can or will but we will see eh?

Skyrim is getting the attention it deserves. Good. I remember being disappointed that they didn't have anything to say at E3 2009, and even more disappointed at E3 2010.

So E3 2011 on 10 days will make up for those years, right?

I admit, I have been waiting for ESV with tentative patience ever since Fallout 3 came out. I believe (and pray) it will make up for it and more.

I have a feeling that they will most likely show their biggest work which is the new natural evolution they are attempting to create by removing point allocation into attributes as well as the removal of birth signs. I do, however, hope that they show some new and improved stealth. Stealth has always seemed either as a crutch or an afterthought in TES but then when the thief enters a big battle where stealth isn't an option... R.I.P.

Honestly, Bethesda really cut 2K and Bioware a break by backing away from the Elder Scrolls series as long as they did. Now that it is back... Bioshock and Mass Effect, masterpieces that they are, look almost shallow in comparison.

It's a shame, but I kind of wish the guys at giantbomb gave a damn about this kind of game more. I quite like listening to jeff and vinny and dig their personalities, however nobody seems to actually give a damn about role playing games over there.
It's all mortal kombat and console games. I get that people cover what they like, but I'd always want some kind of adapting or open mindedness.

Oh.... if only greg kasavin was still part of the reviewing crowd (although he seems to be a very creative developer now)

The fact is, the media in general seems to only like the "hip" thing. A bethesda game, and oblivion, where mainstream and accepted on such a level that naturally there is still large interest for that game series in particular. But it still feels like this kind of game is no longer the future. Or the future in the 12-year-old-cod-generation-mother-abusing-coke-drinking eyes.

I might be totally off mark here. Just a feeling i have these days. And after some blatantly underwritten and closed minded reviews of the witcher 2.

Hah, I probably dont need to leave, the forums, when and if Bethesda release any information, it will be plastered all over the Skyrim discussion like butter on toast.

Bioshock 3 looks more innovative and fresh than bioshock 1 was to it's relative release date. Bioshock 2 was essentially bioshock 1.4, which i was fine with, but it was hardly groundbreaking.

Bioshock 3 is doing an absolute INSANE amount of new things. To a franchise that was already pretty spectacular, my question would be, people DON'T care?
