It's not about the progression speed either. I personally have enjoyed the leveling experience so far, and planning my Skill Assessments to move up through the ranks. The problem stems from not having options to keep from getting burnt out on the standard gameplay settings.
So here I am, sitting in the lobby waiting for five more players to get in a game of Team Instant action on classic. Just like I have been for the last thirty minutes. In that time ONE player my level joined the room, stuck around for about five minutes and bailed. Don't get me wrong. Your lobby is very unique and artistic, but I'd really rather be playing the actual game at the moment and I'm too sick of the default settings to go back to "standard."
All I'm asking is, "Would it be so hard to lower the level requirements on the unique game types (Classic, Pro) to increase the size of the player base in those modes?" Variety is the spice of life, and if you keep a padlock on it you're going to lose a lot of people's attention to games that have variety more readily available. I love the game. Sure it has it's problems, but overall it's been a good experience. All I'm asking is that you do the sensible thing and give us the full variety that we have come to expect as an industry standard in online FPS games. Time to let the dog off the leash.
