A PC isn't just a Games machine it's a tool for business, science, art, and pretty much everything in-between. It's even a tool used to improve sports performance.

Most PC Gamers will use their PC for various things at an early age and maybe get into programming CAD or other things through gaming. Pretty well all of them will be computer literate as a result.

Console gamers by contrast are not going to even be PC literate just because they own a console.

You would think the government or at the least parents would do something about this. To be honest the ease of access to computers is the developed worlds primary economic advantage in this new inter-net age and console gaming is just removing it.

We do need to look at keeping power consumption on the down low though but console gaming on 50 inch TV's probably isn't the way to do it.
