Gaming mouse configuration for FNV - any advice?

Hello all,

I have recently become a proud owner of a Logitech G600 gaming mouse, the one with a bunch of programmable thumb buttons and a G-shift that doubles the number of commands that can be programmed onto them. And I am itching to test it on FNV. I would appreciate advice from more experienced gaming mouse users as to which New Vegas actions (and macros) are best programmed onto the mouse buttons and which are best left on the keyboard.

I have already created a simple "repeat attack while pressed with no delay" button, which allows me to maximize the DPS of semi-automatic weapons without wearing out the left-click button and risking a repetitive strain injury in my index finger. They fire as fast as their animation allows, no human-caused delay. Should be quite handy for shotgun and Energy builds, and the 25mm APW on my current Courier. I've also placed Reload and VATS-buttons on the thumb keys.

One thing I am wondering about is whether it is possible, in some way, to hotkey more than 8 inventory items for use. My current Courier carries 3 weapons (sniper, auto, explosive); +the non-replaceable 2 for ammo change + emergency healing item = 5 out of 8 buttons already used up. I want to set up a "combat boost" macro that activates Slasher / Psycho + Med-X + Steady + healing item + True Police Stories + Yao Guai Meat etc. in one keystroke, without opening the Pip-Boy menu. The only way it seems to be possible is by writing a macro based on the 1-8 number keys - but I need more in-game hotkey options! Any ideas?

If you want more hotkeys, get the mod that increases the hot keys. I think it also has some mouse support, not sure. Find it at the Nexus.

This is not a shooter or MMO in the sense that you switch out a bunch of stuff all the time. You pretty much leave your armor on, and the few times you need to change clothes, your not in a hurry to do so. I am a walking arsenal myself, and the built in Hot Keys are enough for me even with Stims on one of the hot keys. If you use Chems, then more hot keys could be helpful.

The only thing that might be nice to put on the mouse is the Pipboy Menus, at least from my perspective, but I am used to the F1 through F3 keys for that.
