3D Gaming

All 3D is, is a 2D image with depth. You can't walk around it, it never changes angle. It's just 2D.

3D is a gimmick, the way it's done is simply always going to be somewhat irritating to the human brain/eye. The science is already there, but is ignored obviously because it's easy to svcker people into stuff if you can list a shiny new feature.

For those who are interested, this sums up why it'll be a short lived fad fairly well:

3D is a worthless gimmick to me.

I agree, and hasn't it been around for around 50 years now? Somehow it's cool again.... But I think it's pointless myself.

3D gaming seems more interesting to me than a movie though, if I had to choose. At least a game is interactive.

Todd is my hero! I couldn't care less!

...I might be considered to use it though if Skyrim ever comes with it.

There is no point to 3D. It isn't done well enough, and even if it was I don't think gaming is the place for it (with the exception of "full screen split-screen" but even that has no usefulness in Skyrim)

Why add support for an option most people don't have especially when it requires so much extr time and money, if it became more standard I could see it as an option but at this point 3d tvs are still pretty uncommon.
