Gandalf FTW

I just realized that you could create Gandalf (Lord of the Rings) if you really wanted to. Being that there are now beards and dual-wielding. Have a longsword in one hand and a staff of light in the other. Am I right? But if I ever created him I would definitely make him a dark side Gandalf.

So a Balrog? You would essentially make a balrog?

Well for that to happen he would had to have started out good then gone bad, but it's hypothetically possible if Saruman kept it up he would have eventually changed into one. Even more likely if Sauron had anything to say with it, and I'm sure he would.

That book did unkind things to my mind. I'm bad with names, so I had to read things a few times for it to stick. :P

Anywho, my first character will probably be using a longsword and a lighting spell in the left hand. We'll see though, it all looks very interesting.

Sauron wouldn't have had a say in it, contrary to what appears in the movies Saruman wanted to replace Sauron, not serve him

Still, balrogs are nothing more than corrupted maiar. But, it looks as though it requires Melkor for it to really happen as they were molded really early on, otherwise we get a case of Sauron and Saruman.

Even the corrupted Maiar took many forms. What few hints we have about Sauron's form is that he was humanoid, just like Gandalf, Saruman, Radigast and the others.

That doesn't matter, though. The OP was talking about an evil Gandalf. That would be Saruman, or maybe Sauron. They are much closer to an evil Gandalf than a Balrog is. Sure, they're all Maiar, but the balrog doesn't share a similar form.

Yeah, he wants to be some two bit lowly Maiar like Gandalf or Saruman when he could be a Maiar of the caliber of Sauron. I mean, I plan on forging the One Ring when I raise smithing in Skyrim

Gandalf was no two-bit Maia. Olorin was the wisest of all Maiar and selected by Manwe himself for the mission.

Well what appeared in the movies is what happened in the books. He acted like he was serving Sauron but was making an army of his own and trying to get the one ring. Once he got the one ring he could control Sauron since most of Sauron's power was bound to the ring, thus is why he became a revenant after the ring was destroyed.

Psh, Sauron was a scheming coward and pansy.

Say what? Sauron was the most powerful Maiar and was nothing but loyal to Melkor, what kinda skooma you been drinking? Sauron is my hero :hugs:

Psh, Gothmog (the real one, not that silly orc) was more awesome than Sauron ever hoped to be. Even though he was killed, at least he didn't turn himself into a ring, only to have it tossed into a volcano by an obese 4ft person. Gothmog died more gloriously, and took down his slayer at the same time. Sauron? He was killed like a [censored] and lived as one too.

Hey, it's the price you pay for making yourself as powerful as an Ainur, which is happened when Sauron created the ring. With the ring he would have to power to enslave the mortal races and assault the other Maiar and conquer them. Sauron is the shizznat.

He was killed like a [censored] and lived as one too.

But Sauron isn't dead. Sauron has had his body destroyed twice now and still lives but now he has no power, poor guy

Personally, I've always had a thing for Fingolfin. A mere elf gave a Vala a permanent limp.
