How is this different from the other version of Bash that's been released ? Technically.

This version was developed by another developer without knowing each other.
Because I wanted a bashed patch generation function to work correctly, I began porting.

This version is not based on code of Wrye4Fallout3.
made from original version "Wrye Bash" 275.

So then in creation of the bashed patch does it actually recognize records and variables to include in the bashed patch?

Could the bashed patch be used to replace the Mez's merged patch (do you know about mez's merged patch or the FO3edit patching method)?

I will download soon but may not get to try for a day or two.

I downloaded it and installed it, and with my Wrye Bash experience from Oblivion, it works exactly the same with exactly the same results - an easily generated patch that does what it's supposed to do.

Many kudos on this one. It keeps the same feel as Wrye Bash, but for Fallout. I would reccommend changing the colour scheme, though. Reason being is I thought I fired up Oblivion's Wrye Bash. Just a visual clue or something. Or change the name - in the task manager it's still called Wrye Bash.

I make the merged patch of following mods, and am playing.
* FWE MR5
* MMM RC5
* Project Beauty HD
* Weapon Mod Kits
* some graphics replacers.
* some more hairs/eyes/races.

see: http://fallout3nexus.com/downloads/images/11336-2-1266713754.jpg

It works according to the intention.

Regards.

Does the BAIN feature work too?

... cause http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=957424&hl=.

looking forward to trying it..

I suppose the best test would be to make a bashed patch with FWE+WMK+MMM and then compare the results against Mez's patch in FO3edit.

thanks!

Alright I can't wait on this so I'm diving in.

Looks like it is the perk body shield from 01 in the load list which is DLC anchorage.

Gonna try disabling some and see if I can get the bashed patch operational. But probably going to be slow about this.

[edit] I see from your screenshots that you do have Anchorage so it might be another mod attempting to alter it so that it doesn't like - although the crash happened quick.

Have you been in touch with the current workers of Bash? Especially Pacific Morrowind? I certainly have no idea how to interpret these errors.

Actually I just looked in Anchorage there is no perk named that and if that is a formID then this is what I get:
[ACHR:01003009] (places DLC02LvlChineseSniperMines [NPC_:0100A0A5] in GRUP Cell Persistent Children of [CELL:01000F1A] (in DLC02AnchorageBattle "Anchorage" [WRLD:01000E28] at 0,0))

So it is a type of mine. And nothing in my load order conflicts with that or the other FormIDs - except UFP.

[edit 2] I took the UFP completely out of load order and the same error resulted. So it is not that.

Alright I can't wait on this so I'm diving in.

With the load order below I tried to make a bashed patch and got this python error:
[...snip...]

It seems to cause the error with Acter Effect "PerkBodySheild" included in UPP Pack2.
(I was not using UPP...)

Thanks to your detailed report! the problem is likely to be correctable.

[edit] Fixed it! Please try release 6.

What's the difference between a merged patch and a bashed patch?

From what I understand, not a terrible lot.

But on my end, I've been having some weird issues with FO3 Edit, and to cut a short story shorter, it won't create one. Blegh. This, though, works for me in a format I'm already used to. So I'm a happy camper with GaryBash and a Bashed Patch.

Executor-

Bashed patch and merged patch have the main functionality of merging leveled lists - so very much the same in that regard.

Due to Wrye Bash's greater functionality, however, more can be merged and combined with a based patch and unlike with edit where you pretty much hand create the patch with wrye bash it is automated.

Valda-

It works!

In my load order above which includes FWE+MMM+WMK+UPP and many others!!!

I then compared the result with Mez's merged patch and the entries looked about 98% identical with bash importing more form other mods. So that is a good good thing.

Are you open to suggestions from users and modders to develop this more - like maybe implementing tags and GMST settings that can be tweaked?

Next I will be testing the BAIN functions - but later need to got to work for a while.

Is this Wrye Approved? Has he seen it?

thanks!

It's a Fallout 3 port of the amazing http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=22368, the greatest mod utility for Oblivion.

GMST setting has only the item which I want first of all.
The request is hearty welcome.:)

This project does not obtain the approved of the Wrye Team yet.
I want to have name of the "Wrye Flash" for this project, if approved.

EDIT:

Narrowed it down to Fellout-BrokenSteel.esp being the problem. Bashed patch rebuilds fine if that isn't ticked to be merged.

I get the following error when trying to rebuild the bashed patch:
[SNIP]
Narrowed it down to Fellout-BrokenSteel.esp being the problem. Bashed patch rebuilds fine if that isn't ticked to be merged.

Thanks for your bug report, the problem was able to be corrected with RELEASE7.
In addition, I did some bug fixes and minor improvements.
Please try it by all means :)

Just a friendly bump here, and a question or two.

Any word on approval from the wrye team?

continuing development?

I want to have name of the "Wrye Flash" for this project, if approved.

Good choice.

I still think BOSS-f should come to be known as FLOSS - as in, Your load order is dirty and needs to be FLOSSED.
