Who knows, Splash Damage does, but I do not.

We might be able to but it's tough to tell since we haven't played it.

On the http://www.brinkthegame.com/features/customization/ page, the 3rd row 11th guy in is a Resitance guy with a helmet and gas mask, is that what you are looking for?

And I don't know which archetype you mean as I haven't seen any of them wearing a duster, but the upper body outfit is broken into to pieces so it is quite possible.

I assume you can, since customisation has head-gear and face-gear as two seperate options.

Yeah, but some things would seem a wee bit out of place, no?

Like ''The Jesse'' cowboy hat ontop of The Unit gas mask?

Then again The Eel has a hood over his mask.

Yeah, meaning you would not be able to have a hat, the hooded Eel vest, and a facemask..

Might it is like you said before that The Eel Mask gets the hood on as soon as The Eel Vest is equipped, removing the possibility to wear head-gear?

Unless the head gear goes over the hood, like it does in MAG, for SVER. Or not. Just a possibility. Would look pretty funky though, a mask, a hood, and a cowboy hat on top of that.

Just took a look at Character customization (link above, thanks to Mathonn), in one of the random rows there is a heavy with a gas mask and helmet.

So, yes.

Le wat, must check this.. Security or Resistance?

EDIT: You sure it wasn't a hockey mask, or a one-piece? Some head/face items got something covering their face with a ''gas mask'' and their head with some cloth, or full protection

I know you don't have to use the vest to use the mask, Devil :P

In-game Eel facemask, made me so happy

Anyways.. In a screenshot, we can see the Eel Vest without the hoodie on, hinting at 2 variations of it, like The Tank and The Tank Vest - But if you now have the Hooded Eel Vest, you shouldn't be able to use head-gear, since.. Well, having a cap ontop of a hoodie is damn silly, and a cowboy hat? I don't think you can

So that makes me think that as soon as you scroll down to the Eel Vest with the Eel Mask equipped, he gets a hoodie, and the possibility of using a hat is removed, but then there would logically only be 1 variation, meaning only The Eel Mask gets a hoodie.. Which does make sense in a way but still not

EDIT: http://www.strategyinformer.com/pc/brink/screenshot-viewer.html?id=259026 - There is the screenshot of the Eel Vest without the hoodie

Im going to guess that you can have things like that. But they narrow it down to only being able to have certain things worn with another item. If that makes sense lol

It was both, I could not tell the factions for the armor was straight green, and yes I'm 98% sure. He was wearing a helmet with a gas-mask.

My train of thought was rather going into the direction that, as it's possible to wear a hood over the mask, it should be possible to wear other stuff over/on top of it.

I see it, because I propounded that thought when "Able and Ready" was released, remember?

But as it stands, I don't see why it should not work.

Becuase it would look way to silly and out of place?

I have no idea what Splash has been cooking up with this, but I could either see if I can get an answer from a developer, or wait til May 20 :l

The Eel mask is a face piece, but the hood is a head piece and thus can't be worn with the hat (also a head piece), or atleast that's how this all seems to be working.

And when you say hood are you referencing the "hood" of a hooded sweatshirt or the "hood" as in the head covering that tightly covers the head except the face (a coif to be more specific)?

Hood of a hooded sweatshirt

See my avatar, that is the Eel with the hood on, then in some screenshot I have seen the vest without the hood on -

The hood is a part of the chest item, like The Anger's Shirt

If you take a look at a lot of the varied customizations on the customizations page, many characters have "hooded" shirts on with the hood down, so my thought is either that hood is a head piece or, and this is more likely, it is a variant of a shirt type that takes up both the under or over slot and the head slot at the same time.

I have had the idea of The Eel Vest having two variations, just like The Tank and The Tank Vest, one with the hood up and one with the hood down, and wearing the hood up should logically remove the usage of hats
