Naturally, the Elder Scrolls series must "end" at some point. Though this probably won't be a definite "This is the end, there will be no more games after it." likely at some point, after the last game wraps up its plot, another game just won't be made, maybe the series won't be popular anymore, maybe Bethesda will go out of business, and no one will pick the series up. Maybe Bethesda will decide that the series has gone on long enough, and it's time to move on to something else. Either way, though, one can simply play other games instead. If it's any more comforting, one can also think of it this way, if the Elder Scrolls series keeps going on indefinitely, at some point, the game will come to a point where Bethesda has run out of ideas. If it comes to that point, it would be better to just let dead horses lie and instead focus turn the focus to franchises that still have potential to do something new without angering the fans, or even start new franchises.
