Gates to other realms of Oblivion?

I voted no. Wasn't a big fan of closing gates at all.

I'd love to have access to more of Oblivion, either through quests or exploration, but only from the perspective of more content always being better than less. If it was included in place of a more detailed and expansive Skyrim environment, I'd rather it was left out. Seems like it'd be a good concept for a high-level quest/dungeon mod, though...

People seem to only associate Oblivion with the Deadlands...

I'd love to do a quest or sequence of quests where I have to travel to one or some of the lovely (well not so lovely usually, but hey) many different http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Oblivion. Specifically in some quests related to Daedric shrines.

In the event the protagonist is a Daedra or linked to a Daedra: I really hope we don't get the repetitive seemingly random gates spawned all over Skyrim, which all enter into the same old repetitive plane. Like in Oblivion where Mehrunes' deadlands were fun the first few times but got old and tiresome fast.

For your enlightenment: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Planes_of_Oblivion

EDIT: Dammit, Houseparty beat me to the link. :obliviongate:

That said, I would like to visit Azura's realm (and without the risk of becoming half blind lol).

With all due respect to Beth, I'd rather they polish one world than allow the player to access 16 other worlds (possibly 17 by this point).

I would like to see some other aspects of lore for the time being. I have had my fair share of Oblivion adventures recently, and it is not that they are not fun, but I would like to see a change of pace.

Let us see what else the Bethesda team can come up with.

Not lots of,a few, 9-10 maybe.

I would totally love that personally! In Oblivion, the feeling when you spotted an oblivion gate in the wilderness, especially at night, was magical. But they're totally not gonna do that in Skyrim, people would complain so much. At best we'llget the quest described above where under special circumstances you're allowed entrance to a limited part of an Oblivion realm for a short time.

But yes, I would love 10 Oblivion gates in the landscapes of Skyrim.
