No he is right. It takes a full duration of the shot for the Gauss to reset its spread to 0. If you are using the rapid fire module, subsequent shots will become more and more inaccurate (if you fire when you can). If you are sprinting and fire off quickly then the spread will transfer over to the next shot and will never reach 0 till you pause and allow it to.

So don't use rapid fire and give the gun a second or two to settle after you finish sprinting. This is especially important at long range and if you find yourself missing because of the spread you need to pause fire for a bit to let it settle. Worst case scenario is that your Gauss will miss its entire clip if you don't notice the recoil and not pause. Jumping, power jumping and getting shot at will also increase the spread but not enough not to allow a medium to close range kill.

Yes im talking about aiming down the scope. The hip fire on the gauss is so bad you can shoot yourself in the back :).

what does Pro mean? is there an option in MP with increased dificulty?
Gauss has 2x the damage of the DSG yet still no 1hit KO. (not talking about head or cloaked enemies).

I always let the gauss cool a little before i fire again. The sniper scope cross blinks after you shoot, just wait untill it stops to blink then shoot again.

Gauss is 115 damage, player health is 120. In pro you have less health so the Gauss is an insta-kill

Fun fact: I love the Gauss eith Rapid fire and reflex sights. I'm literally handing out headshots!
Fun fact 2: It's so strong that it takes 3 hits to destroy a Ceph broship.

1. The Guass has spread while aiming down sights.
2. The Gauss has trouble shooting through objects.
3. The DSG-1 is just better.

hopefully you aren't shooting whilst stealthed...

Gauss in crysis wars was a god weapon. made eveyone duck for cover when they heard it go off. So they nerfed it a lot when you can have a load out with it.

I really don't see why gauss has low penetration, isn't that the entire point of a gauss rifle...

I thought it had 119 damage? Unfortunately the DSG is better in almost every way. A near miss from the crysis wars gauss would deplete energy as well :/ Its like how the kvolt is nerfed. They somehow assumed energy drain weapons were god like and super nerfed them.
