Reload an earlier save, turn the chip over, get the next quest - thereby getting the chip back - and THEN kill him.

You don't need it back. You should have already used it before getting the quest to give it back to House. If you skipped those optional parts, well, then, you're just going to have to make due without the upgrades.

No, I gave him the chip, and he asked me to go to the bunker but I needed the chip to open but he hAd it so i was trying to find ways to get it back but I couldnt so i killed him thinking i would get it.
