I started the character without GCD but I installed it before I leveled up for the first time. I had been using a mod that I decided I didn't like and I needed to swap two of my skills, so I used EnableStatReviewMenu, which worked fine. Then I equipped GCD's shining ring and went through the setup process, entering the starting stats for my race and class according to BTB's mod. That's what I was supposed to do, right?

I haven't leveled up since I switched to GCD, but I assume that's because I lost a couple points of major skills when I swapped them. I've had no gameplay problems, just the error. I did disable the start script in BTB's mod to make it compatible with GCD, but now that I think about it I forgot to actually stop the script in-game. That doesn't seem likely to be the problem, though. Does anyone know why I'm getting this error message?

Thanks

EDIT: also, why are you using two Morrowind Advanced plugins?

Do you mean MW_Adv_PHW.esp? It's a version of Passive Healthy Wildlife that's compatible with Morrowind Advanced.

I guess you saved and reloaded between adding GCD and using the ring to input your stats. If you do this, one of the most important GCD initialization scripts doesn't get run in that game session, and so forgets all its values - one of the annoying quirks of Morrowind's scripting system. This totally screws up any chance for GCD to operate properly. This ought to be explained in the readme, but it isn't - apologies. Whatever BTB's heinous crimes of flagrant incompatibility might be, this isn't one of them.

The best way to proceed would be either to remove GCD and re-add it, or to revert to a pre-GCD save, and add it again. If possible, the pre-GCD save would probably be the cleanest way. If you remove GCD from a GCD-based save, you should probably also clean the save (I guess Wrye Mash can do this). You'd want to remove the global variables added by GCD, i.e. everything starting with "Gals_". Once you've done that, re-adding GCD should work without problems - just make sure to use the ring before a save/reload this time. As I say, the simplest approach would certainly be to go back to a save before you added GCD the first time. That way there's no chance of not removing it properly.

By the way, you don't need "State-Based Hit Points" if you're using GCD. GCD already adjusts health (or will when it's working :)), so having SBHP do it too is asking for trouble.
