I played the Beta a ton. I got up to around 750 or so in the leaderboards in ranked team death match. It's only a Beta and stats reset but I'm proud of that. My favorite Medal was Field Surgeon. I didn't see too many other peeps with this medal. Anyway, I enjoyed the Beta a ton. What about you?

Don't have Live Gold so I can't play it.

I watched some of it on Youtube when they had that live event. It didn't particularly excite me, it looked pretty much the same as the other games. If they had told me that I was watching a slightly updated GoW2 multiplayer, I would have believed them. :shrug:

It's alot different then 2 and 1. There is a huge uproar with the shotgun users in the Beta with the sawed of shotgun. People were really complaining about it. The gun is so powerful that once you shoot someone with it they explode. The catch was you had to be right in their grill and it has about a three second reload. It really changed the game. In the early gears people would just charge with the gnasher shot gun. Now you can counter that with the sos and the Retro Lancer. The retro you can hip fire and down people with like four hits. If you ask me this has been the best Gears has been since the original release. Gears 2 was so bad.
