GECK Issues

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 12:09 pm

I am not entirely sure whether this is a program issue or whether I need to click a button or something. I tried to create a new worldspace, but when I go and try to place anything in a cell , it seems as though the landscape cuts it off somehow.

A picture better explains what I mean http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/oo321/mrdoom24/geck.jpg

I tried placing 3 buildings but for some reason they are cut-off. Moving around the camera still cuts them off depending on where the end of the cell is.

Oh that happens to me all the time - somehow objects are rendered in front of what's in front of them, making large objects like terrain or floors render over whatever you place... as far as I know there's no fix button, I just restart the GECK and it's fine. Try that.

Was it always like that? It usually happens to me when I start and exit Fallout 3 while the GECK is open on screen. Or if I maximize (like, un-minimize from the task bar) the GECK too fast while it's still shutting down FO3.

Wow it worked, why didn't I try that in the first place?
Thanks :D

The global lighting thing does do it sometimes, but it doesn't always work for me, so I just restart. I forgot that that'll solve it sometimes though...

Like persidon said, hitting A twice to turn Bright Lights off the on (or on the off) should fix that for most people. It does for me every time.

Hey, that worked! Thanks again. You have no idea how much it irritated me to suddenly lose all my objects.
