GeForce GT 740 not detected

Post » Sun Nov 29, 2015 5:13 pm

Hi all,

my videocard, MSI GeForce GT 740 2GB is not detected. I cannot select my monitor resolution, only 1024 * 640 max.

What to do? I wanna play on my native resolution, 1280 x 1024 (yes, i have ancient Samsung SyncMaster 970P 17" :) ).

P.S. The latest NVidia driver is installed.

I really am not sure that that card is supported.

Non widescreen resolution are not supported. I believe there is a mod on Nexus to force 4:3 or 5:4 aspect ratios.

http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/?

However, I don't know if the GUI will display correctly.

Welcome to the club mate, I'm having this exact same problem with my GTX760 Ti, and a lot of other people are having this problem with their 740's, 750's, 760's and other GPU's from nVidia and AMD too.

I'm new here. Thanks! It's there a chance the support will be added later?

The GT 740 may not be recognised due to the low spec. I can't find a good site to show where it would sit for minimum, but I don't think it's much better than a GTX 550.
