So far Skyrim runs pretty nicely. Even on high-default settings I get somewhat smooth performance.
My first problem is shadows. My shadows are generally very blocky and they behave weird when the sun/moon changes position: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otLWROTbiZQ&feature=related
My second problem is random lags. Sometimes it runs smooth, and other times I get lag - for instance it it's snowing outside, it lags, and I go inside dungeon, it stops. And when I go further inside the dungeon, I stumble upon areas where my lag increases. I think it has something to do with specific time of the day, weather, specific textures or effects, which my card doesn't like. I don't know if it's a general problem or just the older Nvidia cards like mine.
Bottom line: I would love some user-tweaked INI files, that have been modified accordingly with the graphical tweaks for Skyrim. Is anyone so kind to link or upload Skyrim.INI and SkyrimPrefs.INI files, that have undergone changes, that are optimal for graphic VS performance?
I would appreciate that alot.
Thanks in advance.
