Btw in case it wasn't clear the idea is that politics, deceit, assassins, etc. Are still going to happen, but with the Daedra using their champions and the champions are the leaders of the faction. BTW your faction besides the leader doesn't need to know that they are in another realm, but trickery can be used
Ok. Sounds good enough for me.

If you don't mind, Tidus, I would be interested in seeing some of your maps as well. I dabble in some amateur cartography of my own, and am always interested in learning from others' work. Do you hand draw yours, or do you use a mapping software?

If you use actual software your more than likely gonna blow my work waaaaaay out of the water. My maps are done in paint
I'll just post a few here since I've got a few interested.

It needs to be redone to be made more lore accurate.

That hand drawn map is the perfect style, but if you don't have the time for it then I'd prefer the style of the City of Sentinel or The Kingdom of Alcare. Again, I sadly don't have money... :(

I'd never dream of charging for something as miniscule as my attempts at map making. While nice for an amature, their nothing close to being worthy of charging. Let me know what you need done and I'll do my best to create to your specifications.

Alright I'm going to create a poll asking what the location style should be and I'll tally up the votes at the end of three days (in C.T.)

I almost have the OP for Blackrain finished up, Tidus we made a design decision that means that we will not require your cartography skills, it will be explained in the OP I will have it up either today or tomorrow. :)

The Mah Incident: A small travelling party RP which focuses on dangerous combat and character interaction/development is looking for one more character to join the party! We only take psycopaths or those mentally unstable. ; D

While I agree, I do believe there's a stupid emphasis on long posts being better than short posts. Short posts, in my opinion are just as good as pages, if not better.

I don't think that's a fair measure of quality. I think long is good only when necessary. Many times though, it's not necessary, it's just easier.

Just like math or programming, it requires an effort from you to do the same with less characters.

I know. But I always found that shorter posts lacks a certain quality such as character thoughts, views and taste and everything that happens. But I might consider joining. What exactly is required of this psychopath?

I was under the impression that forum roleplaying was all about Quality and not quantity? When did this stop becoming the case?

Because larger posts have quality. Shorter posts, sometimes, do not. Unless the person is a good Rper, I just don't see that a shorter post has much of an effect as a large post. Note, when I say larger, I don't mean ten paragraphs. Two to three is good.

I think that the issue is why a certain post is long, and I can see two main reasons: either it has a lot of "stuff" (plot, and actual events that are happening), or a lot of detail (describing what's happening, or even what your character thinks about the events). A lot of plot stuff affects length, but not quality; detail affects both positively. If a post is four paragraphs long but includes seven distinct events, then it probably isn't very high quality. If it is instead two to three paragraphs long and describes one or two events, that means that it is more detailed, and is probably of better quality (to a point).

That's what I've gathered, just from reading a bunch of RP posts.
