Actually, I was reviewing the lore, and it is a dark age. There are only a few events, just the formation of the Dark Brotherhood, the murder of the potentates, an akaviri invasion is stopped by a flood, and Orsinium is downgraded to a territory. The Empire is dead, and a lot of chaos.

Only a few events are known to happen in 400 years.

Everyone would every so often have to slip into dovah-tinvaa occasionally, it would be a really interesting. I fen aav if it happens.

Well that looks indeed promising. I shall just have to make the finishing touches to my plan and post it as a thread.

Would anyone be interested in a murder mystery, set just before Oblivion, about the death of Vivec? I think I proposed the idea awhile ago, but I don't recall what kind of feedback I got. We'd probably play as agents of the Temple sent to track down the assassin, as well as helping to try and keep his death under wraps, but we could end up recruiting non-Temple characters on the way.

According to most commonly held canon, Vivec disappeared into Oblivion. It is not believed that he just was murdered. Either he vanished and became NULL like the Dwemer, or he was essentially voided by the Daedra. Or maybe he simply disappeared, in order to reappear at a time that people would want him again.

It's hard to tell the mind of a powerless false god.

He had a lot of enemies, and his biggest ones were not mortal.

Could be an interesting murder mystery if you pulled it off though...

Eh, I don't think disobeying commonly held canon is an issue, especially with something as ambiguous as this.

True, true.

I was just putting it out there, as the aspiring lore buff I am.

I'd probably join, although it's not something I've ever done before. Really depends on how interesting the setting is.

Perhaps we should have some sort of monthly writing competition?

Count me in. I may be working on my own RP but I think I can handle another one.

I like the idea, although I don't know if I'd actually participate. Would it be like on the fallout artwork boards ?

There used to be a writing contest here, called Feyfolken or something. Started by Darkom I believe. I think there was 2 or 3 contests before it stopped.

I believe the system it used was based on anonymity to avoid giving the popular writers an edge.

Hmm, I probably wasn't around then.

How did that work? PM your entry to the person running it and then they submit them without a name?

We could have an elected comitee host a thread and be judges.

Just PM Darkom for the details, he's still somewhat active here. I recall there being a panel of judges though, not just one.

You could probably even find the old threads somewhere if you search.

Maybe the GM's of the major RP's, or the very best writers of fanfics?

That way it gives those with less Reputation a chance to gain reputation and the experience of those types of judges is the best type those who have waded through it all and come out on top.
