Is General Tullius a Talos worshiper?

Post » Tue Apr 02, 2013 5:22 pm

I never ran across anything myself, but I've heard the claim that General Tullius was a Talos supporter. I know Rikke is, but I never found any item or piece of dialogue suggesting Tullius was too.

Tullius is a Talos worshipper, yes.

So is Emperor Titus Mede II.

Imperials are just better at hiding the fact.

Just an assumption? Or is there actual proof? I think he is too (Tullius), but I'm just wondering if there is any proof.

It would look bad for the Empire if there was proof that one of her Generals was a Talos worshipper, no?

So yes, an assumption. But a very safe one, I might add.

If he is a Talos worshiper, he's a hypocritical one at best.

The Thalmor are not an omniscient Thought Police. Tullius may not openly advertise Talos but nothing stops him from worshiping Talos in private.

I have found only one chest in the general's possession that could produce a Talos amulet in its leveled loot drop.

And it's a generic religious amulet drop that could produce any of the other eight amulets as well.

I haven't looked at Mede's, though I suspect I'd have to look at quest aliases as well to make sure with him.

It matters not, really... He's already a participant in yet another Enantiomorphic Event involving a dragonborn. ;)

Well, Heimskr is a Nord.

Exactly. We do know that, through dialog, a number of people still worship Talos. They just don't do it openly.

Spoiler

Titus Mede II actually wears a Talos amulet.

Saying he does means nothing, as the loot drop system can produce any number of possible results. Does he have one every time?

As in... Every time?

Has it been confirmed without room for doubt via the CK? Tullius getting a Talos amulet dropped has already been attributed to a religious amulet drop that could also drop any of the other 8 as well in one of his chests in his Castle Dour quarters.

Well, if we know about it, they aren't really being to secretive, are they.

From what I gathered from Tullius, he seems more focus on military tactics and the Empire rather than the divines really.

In a documentably tested or investigated manner as I did with rooting out where the Tullius talos amulets were coming from?

How?
Because he has personally had people sent to Northwatch Keep for worshiping Talos.

I do not have access to the CK, so I can only go by what literally everyone else has ever said that has killed him. And that has been that he has a talos amulet on his person.

No, not a hypocrite. Tullius just happens to have a brain with some level of mental functioning. Something which the savage who calls himself Ulfric does not have. I'm surprised he can even form a sentence. He acts like he just evolved from an Imga or something.

I just checked the Creation kit. The answer is no. He only has his clothes and the key to the ship. That's literally it, no gold or ANY random loot period.

Hmm and didn't you just call me biased in that other thread? Ulfric has proven to be smart. He's learning as he goes, and quickly at that. Tullius is smart too, a general has to be. But that doesn't make him less of a hypocrite for locking up those for things he does as well.

Talos only knows then!

Anyway, I think the burden lay with people trying to prove that they do not worship Talos, personally.
