Geographical Scale

This has been bugging me for a while and google maps has failed to answer me, so here is a simple question. In Fallout New Vegas, I know that Vegas is intensely scaled down in size, but I was wondering. What about the rest of the Mojave? Is Primm really a walk-to-school from Goodsprings, or is the distance longer? Does Novac really only have two big buildings?

Answers greatly appreciated.

I would say from my 4 trips to the Mojave in RL that fallout:NV is 20 times smaller then it is in RL

The real Goodsprings is about 25 miles away from Vegas and Primm is about 35 miles away. The game probably represents about a 100 mile x 100 mile area.
