Actually what makes it an RPG is that you choose a Role and you Play it over the course of the Game. Stats do not make a roleplaying game.

By this definition, every game is an RPG. That term was defined in the 70s, stats and their bigger influence than player interaction as the defining points are pretty burned-in by now. ;)

Oh I know it will be toggleable I was just saying lol. The only problem is without some kind of player skill factor in an RPG it will be like D&D which is fine for some people but most can't survive on dice rolls alone.


No doubt, I don't disagree with you at this stage. The varried definitions of it, the mechanics, then people's own definition and view of it(Clearly the most biased and probably not even close to what it really is) really work to confuse you.

*Yawn* Make any sense? Tired myself so sorry. Mostly came on for any extra Skyrim tidbits.
