German Cover Story

Post » Sat Dec 25, 2010 6:56 am

I assume you can read Norwegian then:
http://www.gamereactor.no/brev/15334/Februar-bladet/ This was posted not long ago, so I'm betting on this. But we'll see.

Unfair if true :chaos:

I thought the Gamereactor had one same release date. I mean it's the same company...

That magazine looks like it was from 1993.

Yea it does. Why do most of these international magazine have such old looking covers?

he also just has one pauldron ;-)

I noticed the same and according to how it looks I would see no problems having another one similar on the other shoulder hypothesis for a piecemental system? I hope so for ....

I'm looking forward to this: http://www.gamereactor.no/media/forum/no/738929_49.jpg
Apparently it comes out in stores Februrary 4th here in Norway. I had a hard time finding the release date though, even called the game store which usually has these and he was clueless. :glare:

I cant wait for this!!

Edit; Gamereactor also sent their own writers.

Going to buy the issue tomorrow but I don't expect that much from Computer Bild Spiele, it's imo the worst gaming magazine we have in germany :/
The title with the mix of shooter and rpg says enough for me to know that they don't even have a single idea what they are playing.
Dunno why Beth has chosen CBS for their coverage but we'll see ...
Hope it's not as bad as I expect but I still remember some realy crappy reports 'bout CnC games ...

Also, if you look at the screenshot of the Dunmer getting stabbed in the GI magazine, it looks like he has the same armor and pauldron as the Nord art, but there's one difference: the Dunmer's pauldron is on the other side.

He's referred to it as piecemental in about four threads that I've seen so far. I thought it was an honest mistake but he's been corrected in every thread and still refers to it as piecemental so I think he does it on purpose now.

Regarding the international covers they do look like something you'd see from a school project. Covers look a bit childish.

Indeed, they went to Washington and have in fact been able to play Skyrim already.
Six pages of information and pictures from Skyrim is going to be in the magazine. I hope we're getting plenty of new stuff revealed and not just what we know already.

Often images in magazines get mirorred. I wouldn't get your hopes up because of that particular image.

If they went to washington then they didn't see anything because the BGS studio is in maryland.

Look at the cover again. It says "Washington" at the bottom in reference to where they went to play it.
Why? Don't ask me.

Yeah, it's a pity. It seems they chose CBS because it's the best selling gaming magazine and they want to reach a lot of people.
So even if they had known this magazine's reputation among actual 'gamers', they still might have gone for it because of its sales.

Yea that's bizarre though. BGS is in maryland? If they couldn't even get that right then I'm worried about the credibility of this article.

Washington, as in Washington, D.C. Rockville, MD, where Bethesda is based, is a suburb of D.C. I'm not sure why they are called Bethesda (another suburb) if they are based in Rockville, but such is the way of the world.

Maybe they set up a play test in that location for the press? I'm honestly not sure.
