German Cover Story : V

Hi folks!

The German magazine with the Skyrim cover story should be released tomorrow. The http://i.computer-bild.de/imgs/7/3/6/3/3/1/Aktuelle-Ausgabe-3-2011-Cover-579x745-0bbb540efc116263.jpg has already been shown today.

I'm not sure about the other European magazines, but the German one actually sent http://i.computer-bild.de/imgs/130447053_d63cee1022.jpg to BGS, so we might get some new info depending on the questions he asked and what Todd was able to show him.
In any case I'll try to get it as soon as I can - or if anybody else gets it first, it would be great if we could keep everything in this topic.

Why is the skin-area near eyes of the "Viking/Nord" on the cover so bright?
Looks like if they've used a dodge tool in Photoshop.

My German is rusty...
but does it say "Exclusive: Game of the Year ... General mix between shooter & roleplay"

Well, shooter is a given. It says "Ingenious mix between shooter & roleplay".
I wouldn't get too hyped about such a statement, though. We already know that combat has been improved to be more action-oriented, and the magazine isn't too specific about genres.

Yeah but still. If I were a rabid MW fan pre Oblivion release I would hail that picture as proof of pauldrons. I'm just pointing out that clutching at straws leads to madness when the game is actually released.

I think official xbox mag is doing a skyrim cover ...due out on the 10th of feb i believe.

Nah, just kidding. Have you ever played FF VII? Well, some guys in that game, the SOLDIERs (yes, with capitol letters) have a thing called Mako in their organism and their eyes... glow.

By the way, some background info for those who don't know: Computerbild Spiele is a magazine of the "Bild" brand... together with Bild, Bild am Sonntag, Computerbild, Bild der Frau etc. They all have two things in common, 1) there's the word "bild" in the title and 2) they're utterly terrible.

Apparently it comes out in stores Februrary 4th here in Norway. I had a hard time finding the release date though, even called the game store which usually has these and he was clueless. :glare:

That cover's using the same art that was in the Micromania (Spain) article. The full image looks even better.

To be fair though, in the game informer Skyrim issue it does show a nord wearing only one pauldron and no cuirass. His other shoulder is bare skin.

That's strange. It's coming out (supposedly) on 7th in Sweden. At least that's what the Gamreactor guy said in his latest articles and blog.
