All I need to do now is to tell you I will be playing on my Ipad and that I wish that the guns will be a bit more like COD.

I was thinking(praying) that maybe they added this whole facebook thig to get some extra $$ for the game? I can't see them spending $ to use facebook, but I could see facebook trying to add more people, and offering games a little dough to write in a facebook button or whatever.

Plus isn't skyrim going to be on steam? So steam has it's whole friends list etc, why would they need facebook? Leads me once again to think they decided to do this for some money. Facebook is a cutting edge billion dollar company right? So they are just finding ways to reach different demographics, including isolationist geeks :).

Hopefully if its even remotely true(money), they used that cash to implement pc features, such as the ui. The less money they spend on a smaller segment of the audience(pc) the better, but at the same time some extra funds helps them do what needs to be done.

I wouldn't go over board about the facebook thing. It's probebly so when you get a badge for a quest it shows up on your facebook page.
I doulbt there will be a facebook chat window in the lower right corner of the hud.

I'm wondering why none posted this already :o Just went to the gas station and found the latest issue of the german PC Magazine PCGames and saw that there is a 10-pages-coverage of skyrim.

New Infos I found (for me new)
- The map in the inventory will be slighty similar like Google Maps and will be in 3D
- You cannot make notes on the map
- There will also be some friendly dragons you can speak with
- Traders will be depending on what has been harvested, so if there is a cornfield in the city which gets destroyed by a fire, the traders in the city will run out of corn or you have to pay horrible prices
- The wind is going to have influences on the water so there might be some ?crimps? (dunno if its the right word) on the water due to the wind and there will also be dynamic waves depending on the wind
- Lockpicking is a minigame again
- There will be 8-9 settlements besides the 5 major citys
- Buying houses is in
- There will be kids in the land of skyrim
- They are planning to connect Skyrim with social networks like facebook

There are also three new screens, guess they are pretty the same like the new GI ones.
First one is a dungeon with some graves in the background, there are three Draugrs attacking you and in the background graves you can see a skeleton and a lying draugs
On the scond one you can see a typical nord farmhouse built on a mountain, looks so awesome, wanna to kill everyone inside and making it to mine :D
On the last one you can see the dragonborn in a cave, taking his sword with a draugr standing in front of him and a small stream is flowing.

And as always, please correct my english, thx ;)

most of this seems new and im quite happy with speaking with non-hostile dragons, this would be interesting. thanks for the info!

Wuuut? I don't mind facebook at all, coz seriously, do you really think it wouldn't be optional? That is completely impossible unless Facebook suddenly buys Bethesda

I agree. Everytime facebook or something similar has been implemented in a game as a "feature" it has been utterly [censored] and absolutely useless for its intended purpose. Plus I don't know who would want to put all over their facebook "DUDE I JUST KILLED 5 DRAGONS AND I'M LEVEL 5!!!11!!!!111"

If that happened... I'm afraid I wouldn't have friends anymore.

" There will also be some friendly dragons you can speak with"

i'm happy with this, it seems some dragons might not be in tune with alduin's plan.

as for types of dragons, we've seen the normal brown/amber ones in the trailer, the jills which are black/grey dragons and red dragons like Nafaalilargus from redguard.
there might even be more types of dragons out there.

Thanks for posting! I don't have a FB account, so I don't care about that feature. I can't wait to see those screens, especially the one with a house on mountain.

Okay, the last one is weird, but why is it a horrible addition that would ruin everything and has no place in the game?

It wouldn't ruin everything (as long as it's optional), but it would be a horrible addition with no place in the game if it's true. Todd has repeatedly said that they're focusing on making Skyrim the best single-player experience they can. How can you claim that if you're taking the time and energy to implement, test, and support a system designed for connecting players together and passing information around online? Either it's so trite and frivolous that it serves no real purpose (other than as a place for bugs to hide), or it adds features useful enough that detract from the single-player experience.

And in other news....

CORN is confirmed in the land of Skyrim :celebration:

I'm pretty sure it's "Korn", as in "Grains", and not "Mais", as in "Corn/Maize" they wrote.

Not sure what to think about this FB thing, but I hope I can just ignore it. I'm playing singleplayer games because I'm an egotistical egocentric individualist who does not like to share his experiences with anyone :P

I really don't want everyone to know how much of a geek I am :ninja:

Me too! Besides, what if I tell some of my colleagues that I cannot finish some work until tomorrow because I have some important stuff to do and then 10 min later there's XY has spent 2 hrs in Skyrim and killed 5 Dragons.

:D Just kidding! But really... Facebook... No thanks. I keep it serious and simple, without games or any applications et cetera. I hope it will be optional.

I'm probably alone in this, but I don't like the idea of a 3D map. I'd rather the map was a map (a bit of parchment/paper/animal hide that's unrolled or unfolded) than some incongruous, immersion breaking 3D imaging Sat Nav device (unless there's a quest involved to acquire said magical device).

Facebook? Strewth.

How about just not syncing your FB to Skyrim the? Has to be optional because not everyone has one.

I much prefer an old, worn map. You know, one of those you imagine an experienced traveller having in a fantasy story. Something you can imagine holding in your hands. Not some high-tec 3D google map
Instead, keep it simple.

Agreed, I'm kinda dreading seeing it. I keep getting images in my head of this 3D Hologram more fitting to Halo or something.
