I would want to ask a friend of mine to buy the game for me from Steam (75% off for 2 days). The problem is that he lives in Germany, and last time I received a gift though Steam from Germany I could only play the censured German version. I am talking about BioShock.

My question is: If I receive the game through steam (GOTY Deluxe) will I get a German censured version?

I am almost sure it will not be in German since it says GOTY Deluxe is only in English, but still, is the game censured in Germany?

Well, I don't think that they could censor it, as there is no swearing in it.

Otherwise the German version of Oblivion is the exact same content wise as all other versions. However you may get the german version of the game, I do not know as I am not a huge user of Steam and do not really have a grasp of how it deals with the language in the game, so it may or may not be in German.

If there is anything changed in the german game version, the german steam has a notice like "low-violence" version on it′s steampage. I don′t know if you understand german
but even if you do so i would buy the english version. the translation into german is scrap. not comparable with Skyrim. And i don′t know if you can choose the language
for the steam version of oblivion.
